| When they say that mold can grow anywhere - I believe that to be true! Our school building is full of mold - and I know that is why so many of us who work there and come back to school after summer vacation and get sick within the first 2-4 weeks! Those pictures are scary! I can't imagine Disney not doing everything possible to remedy the problem.

| I'd love to hear more about it! The comment about mold always being an issue in Florida has me wondering now...every Disney vacation my girls and I get red welts all over our feet and legs. (yet we keep going back! ) Wonder if that's why? We've never known...

And yes Heather, although he is no doctor - just very familiar with mould and the symptoms it causes - he says that the red welts on your lower legs probably indicate a sensitivity to mould. ![]()

| I do occupational safety and health for a living. If you live in FL and you have wallpaper chances are you have mold. It's not toxic, mostly smelly. That looks easy to fix. Lately I've looked at a LOT of FL mold. I also have friends who are in the occupational safety and industrial hygiene (indoor air quality falls into this category) department at WDW. That is a large department and I am confident that they handled it quickly and thoroughly.

| This is a common problem in all coastal areas I think. Mold reports were the reason we didn't stay at the Boardwalk last year. So it can happen anywhere. Coming from the Mold Capital of the World since 2005 (thanx Katrina) let me say there are new, space age remedies for the mold problem. As you can imagine, thousands of homes and businesses in New Orleans were MOLD-rific after the hurricane, and the best solution I have seen in use involves a big "dome" placed over the structure and then some sort of blasting process involving bleach (obviously) and some other chemicals takes care of the problem toute suite! You can even leave your moldy clothes in the closets and they'll be wearable again! Don't fret my disneyphiles, mold does not a catastrophe make! ![]()
