I question the timeframe in which the panelists are to stay on board. I am an Area Coordinator for an organizatio and our board terms are two years with the option to run for a second term. When dealing with 3500 members on a daily basis for two years, not to mention four years, there comes a point when one gets burned out. Wouldn't the same issue come into play for the Mom's?? Perhaps having a timeframe for the Mom's is a good idea.
Just a thought.
All the same, I like the idea of the Mom's Panel and some of the questions I had (but didn't write in) have been answered.

I think it would be cool if they let us have another shot.

I am very behind on this so my apologies for dragging up an old post. We've hd some health issues that have kept me away.

Anyway, the current panelists did all renew for another 6 month term. We get another award trip for the second term as well. I am very happy to be staying on, but I'm sorry for everyone who is anxiously awaiting our departure! lol You will get your chance to apply again, don't worry!

First and foremost, I hope your family is well and glad you are back!
I am sorry you feel people are anxiously awaiting the current panel's conclusion. When I wrote earlier, it was with concern that there wasn't a timeframe for the panelists to hold their positions and therefore, would get burned out on seeing the same questions over and over.
Anyway, I wish you and the "Mom's" the very best and congratulations on your second term! Keep up the great work!

Oh gosh, I wasn't offended in the least! I'm sorry if I made you feel that I was, or that I was singling you out. I was not at all.

I don't feel that anyone wishes us ill. But I definitely feel people are ready for the next round of applications, just as I would be if I were in their shoes! Meaning people in general, not necessarily just here. There is a lovely (LONG) thread on the disboards (Adventures of the Moms Panel) and 'when will the next round of applications be accepted?' is often discussed. We're not offended, even if we DON'T EVER WANT TO LEAVE! But I completely understand your point about burnout and in fact I mentioned the same thing to the other panelists. Not that I'm feeling burnt out, but there are some things that get hard to answer. For example, I am completely out of ideas for how to celebrate a birthday at Disney!

Hey BellaBuggy,
I thought of you when reading about the PI closure and updates to DTD. Here is a birthday idea!

"Goofy's Candy Company, in the Downtown Disney Marketplace district, will be opening a private party room in fall 2008. That'll be for family-style birthday parties, of course."
