Been to Disney at least 6 times since year of Million dreams has been happening. Lat time we hardly even saw any dream team CM out there. With that said we have had MM happen. Lat December Wes Palm asked me for my backpack, which I put on his planter and then he went around to everyone else trying to sell for $5 calling it a mystery bag. My 15 yr old nephew who is at the age of not smiling thought that was very funny. My oldest nephew wore a B day pin for his 16th Birthday and all the Primcesses in the parade wished him a happy Birthday. ( Big grin from him on that one) He did get a free birthday Sundae at one of our tableservice meals at Sci Fi. It would be cool to win something, but as many have said " don't look for it to happen" I have even had MM with interaction with other Guests. young & old . Disney just brings the Magic when you least expect it.

I agree. we had many magical moments the week we were there. Don't obsess about getting something during Million dreams you might miss the priceless moments you have with your family. Our little princess came out of the BBB and with her birthday princess sash she was treated so kindly by all. My son had his birthday pin on that day and the CM tried to get Woody's attention but was unable to but moved my son up. The CM's at the rides were fabulous. At the PP&P party...my little pirate with his gelled hair and Mickey confetti got so much attention it was great! He often has to step back for his sister and this was not the case the night or the whole week for that matter. My little girl was treated to a royal kiss from snow white that night. The carriage was stopped right in front of her on the circle and she was the only one standing there with me and Snow white blew her a kiss. The look on her face was priceless and she still talks about it. There are too many moments to mention here but we can't wait to return....surprisingly my husband is anxious to return also! Have fun and enjoy your time there!

He was funny with us, too! Bradie was wearing her Snow White dress that day, and we saw him as we were waiting to enter the park. He got all excited and said Snow White was there. He invited all the crowd to come get her autograph! She was so tickled, and kept trying to tell him she was too little to be the real Snow White!

My DH happened to be playing that big multiplayer video game thing that they host at the end of Mission Space while I was on the ride (yes, he chickened out at the last second), and everyone that was playing got Dream Fast Passes. The Dream CM was nice enough to give him one for me when DH mentioned I was on the ride and would have no FP. It made our day and we got to ride TT twice and save about 40 minutes to ride Soarin'.

BTW, what do Dream Ears do?

Making you own magic is definitely the key...I think for many just the smallest gesture can be winning something...

Our last trip was in 2006 - they were celebrating the Anniversary that year (before the YOMD started) but we were touched with so much magic by the CM's - free ice cream, stickers, got to ride again without getting off - it was those little things that stood out and made it magical.

I think that the trip will be magical for you whether the Dream Squad stops you or not...

Be Nice to Someone and maybe...

We were surprised by a Dream Team member after chasing down a little girl to give her a jibbitz we'd found on the walk (Long story) She was so cute and had really entertained us on a ride. Anyway, I turned around to find my family and got stopped by a member of the Dream Team. I was given Pixie pins and he arranged for us to get into Little Mermaid (we hadn't been there yet). Point being--we were being nice to someone, but certainly didn't do it to get noticed. I was as surprised at being noticed by a Dream Team member, as this little girl was that we were nice to her. The point of the CM was trying to encourage park attendees to help share the magic! And the point was well-taken! I get more fun on our trips engaging other vacationers and CM's than I do running around catching rides. I'm finding out that the magical moments I make for others far outshine the magical moments that the Dream Team can give me. (okay, maybe the castle?)

When we were their in Feb. We enjoyed small moments of attention. My grandaughter got a pixie pin. But we are not sure why, she is 4 and It was her birthday. But I thought they were from doing something special. If she did something special, I did not see it. Any way everyone in our group experinced a small magial moment. I got a free post card to fill out and they mailed it for me. My husband and son in law got a orgami figure in Japan, The kids all got stickers, just for a smile. ...I intend to make some of my own magic when I return In December. I bought some pins on e-bay, and plan to share them with children in the parks.

I have to agree with what others have said. You just have to make your own magic and enjoy the wonder that is Disney. The Dream Team attention is totally and completely random...talked to a lady at the bus station in Dec. whose daughter & son-in-lay won the castle suite. He was sitting in the selected seat at the selected showing of Star Tours that morning...

My DH and I have been to the world over 30 times this year, and we haven't gotten any "official dreams" yet...but we've made so many beautiful dreams of our own that that's okay.

This is a very interesting thread! Me and DH have spent 29 days onsite since last November and we`ve seen nothing!
We`ve been lucky and had "magic" in other ways though, exceptional CM`s have our trips very memorable.
Its good to hear how these prizes are distributed - that is a very fair system they have there.

I won a dream fast pass as we waited to get on Magic Carpets of Aladdin in January 2007. I've been back about 4 times since and have never got another thing I just missed (by 2 doom buggies) the stay in the castle on my last trip while riding the Haunted Mansion. How do I know that? Looooong story but I saw the same people a little later leaving almost crying with joy about "staying in the castle". Yeah for them and booooooo for me

When we got to our hotel a dream team member said "those are the next kids" and my brothers and I were "assistant check in workers". It wasnt life changing exciting but, still nice. We recived certificates that said it was a "certifiable magical moment". My family was also the "first family" at the american adventure in epcot. Meaning we got to sit on a balcony and enter the theater first (the cast member saw my parents anniversary pins). This as well came with a cerftificate. I belive that the "dreams" are big and small. The ones we recived werent huge but still very memorable. Also from a post above, it is true that if you talk with cast members and seem friendly you can make your own magic. We were chatting with a cast member after exiting the tower of terror (my brother wanted to pin trade and turns out we were from the same city). They asked us if we had been on rockin roller coaster yet and we said yes we did and we loved it and would love to ride it again but the wait was horribly long. They said to follow them and they took us through the back through the VIP entrance! no wait at all! We also stopped to chat with a Disney Vacation Club cast memeber and he gave us our choice of the special hidden mickey cast member pins!!!
Moral of this looooonnnggg story, be friendly and look happy! smile alot and talk to everyone!!!

Although this might not help you receive a special something from the Dream Squad, just make sure the bdy person is wearing a Bdy button (which you can get from the Guest Relations area of any of the parks as well as from the Front Desk of your Disney resort) or have that person wear a special personalized bdy shirt.

My youngest wore her bdy button on her 6th bdy and got lots of attention from the CMs. Since the buttons are now personalized, she got lots of "Happy Bdy, Princess Sara!" greetings from all over (which she ate up!). The best had to be when we arrived at the MK and had just come off the WL boat; the CM who is directing people on and off the boats made everyone stop (and there were tons of people waiting to enter the boats!) - everyone had to sing "Happy Birthday" to Princess Sara! She absolutely loved it!!

As far as the Dream Squad goes, you just never know when something will happen. We had a full morning at AK on our most recent Easter trip and we were going to head over to Kali to see what the wait times were even though it was near lunch time. We had just entered Asia and knew where we were going but Sara was fascinated by the maps so we stopped to let her check it out. A CM came over to see if we needed help and struck up a conversation with Sara. She invited us to her kiosk to learn more about her country (Indonesia) and then she asked where we were going. When we said Kali, she asked if we'd like to go inside Kali's tower (of operations) to see how the ride works - Sure! After that, she let us enter Kali through the FP entrance. Cool! But she wasn't done!! She asked if we wanted to go anywhere else. We'd been through the Mahrahjak Jungle Trek earlier but a lot of the animals were in hiding so we got a personal tour of the Trek - she told us so much about the animals, the architecture, Hidden Mickeys.. Lots of fun! Then she surprised us once more - how about a spin on Everest??? My oldest and I were too chicken but my DH and Sara got to go through the FP line and right on - they had a blast!! She was the sweetest CM - the girls asked her for her autograph and we took pics to remember such a special afternoon!!
