The Return of the Hatbox Ghost???

I just heard this, maybe one of you can confirm it...

If you are familiar with the early origins of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, you may know about the Hatbox Ghost. In the original attraction (at Disneyland), the hatbox ghost is the groom for the ghostly bride in the attic scene. Standing side by side in the attic, the pair reportedly looked very creepy. His gig was his head disappeared, and then reappeared in the hatbox he was holding. Unfortunately, he was pulled after a few weeks due to constant malfunction.

supposedly, imagineers have now perfected the effect, and will places hatbox ghosts in all the Haunted Mansions around the globe. is there any truth in this???

if you want to see a picture, head over to doombuggies.com, but beware! uber creepy. scared the heck outta me! (nervous laugh)

happy haunting!!!!!

I didn't see anything saying they had perfected the illusion, but I may have missed it and if they did, I think it would be a great addition!!!

well, of course, nothing is ever perfected, just fixed to be more reliable.
also, if you are heading to WDW soon, an image of the Hatbox Ghost can be found in the Hall of Portraits on the attraction. or so i've heard. i think he is wearing a different hat in that photo, though. maybe a crown???
