| New Quick Service Dining Plan option????? On the Virgin Atlantic site they're offering UK passengers a new dining option effective January 11, 2009 and beyond. Walt Disney World Resort Tickets and Prices - - Virgin Holidays It's part way down the page. They're calling it Disney's Quick Service Dining Plan and it includes 2 CS meals, 2 snacks and a resort mug. I wonder if this is going to be part of the 2009 packages for all visitors - or if it's just for the UK?

| I read that, too. Maybe a sign of things to come down the road for everyone?

| So if this is the way things are going, the current DP (1 snack, 1 CS and 1TS)will be the middle of the road plan everyone was saying should exist. I still like the idea of one sit down and one CS per day for us though.

| hmmm... guess they're trying to snag the people who don't like to take time out of their touring for a sit-down meal. I'd still rather do the regular DDP. (Just my personal preference and touring style.) Eileen

| If it is the same price as the basic DP, I would not be interested.

| Perhaps that will appeal to some people. Personally, I need one sit down meal per day. I will be interested to see how it all plays out, though. danielle

| Historically, whatever has been offered in the UK ends up being implemented across the board. I recall that the first sniff we had of last year's DDP changes came from the Virgin brochure. By the way, well spotted Lesley!

| I have to admit that I saw a reference to it on another board and went looking. I'm another one that probably won't use this - the DDP and the DDDP are more my style - but if I were to go during F&WF where I like to eat my way around the booths at WS it might be tempting depending on the price in US dollars. I also could see using this in conjunction with the DDE for a few TS meals thrown in. We'll have to see what the new packages contain when they are announced.

| I was going to say exactly the same thing. The British market usually gets things first, as they're already trying to sell us holidays for summer / autumn 2009. I know a lot of new brochures are on their way out over here at the moment. I suspect this will be introduced generally at Disney next year.

Two quick meals and two snacks is pretty much what I eat during a typical Disney day. We only did one sit down meal last trip and have only one planned for our next trip.I hope this comes our way!

| It sounds like a good plan. If it works out to be cheaper than that Basic Dining Plan. Although, I do have to say, that the current basic DDP is a great way for us to eat at restaurants we never would have done on our own because of the cost.

| We'd still do the Basic DDP but I can see how this new plan would appeal to a lot of people!!

| I'm one that hopes this doesn't take the place of the generic dining plan that's out there-as I'm a big fan. One sit down & one quick service is perfect for my clan.......and if Disney screws around with that and takes it away, I will be very |
