| I can't imagine that it'd be all that interesting -- having done the Keys to the Kingdom tour, I've seen what some of the passageways to the backstage areas look like and it's exactly what you'd expect: cement walls, no magic, a "work-a-day" hallway. Not worth taking the risk of getting in trouble. Eileen

| Trust me, it's nothing exciting. Stick to the magical world that you can see without peeking backstage. Though I have seen several guests just blatantly open doors for a peek. I'm not advocating, just saying you wouldn't get kicked out for opening a door, saying "oops, sorry!" and walking away

| aside from the fact that the best places to look aren't marked at all. and that there's a boundary area between that door and the real stuff that you'd never be able to make it to to see anything worth seeing anyway.

| actually K2TK takes you to very little of it. it used to show more on the tour, but they've really stripped it down. touring the cast member building at Epcot probably offers more eye candy. backstage magic and undiscovered future world go there.

| I saw an open door once... I was curious and I tried to look but I saw absolutely nothing but a big Tigger coming toward me!! The most exciting thing that I saw was the time that Pirates stopped and we had to be rescued from our boat. We stopped at the jail and dog scene, but were pulled back to the singing donkey to safely get to an emergency exit. The CM escorted all the passengers from our boat and the boat behind us through the backstage area of the ride - up and down stairs and over a kind of catwalk... it was COOL to see, well, what I could see of it. They managed to keep it dim enough that you can't see a great deal. But we ended up behind the building and had to take a very long path around. It made me feels pecial to peek behind the magic, if even for a short ten minute walk!

| Never looked. Never really noticed the castmembers only doors either. I'm not really that observant I guess. Must explain why I accidentally walked into the Mens room and not the Ladies room once in Epcot. |

| I agree that if you are interested take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Backstage is interesting, but not remotely magical. Far better to stay 'onstage' and enjoy the 'show'.

| I went down a wrong path and ended up in a cast member only place - I wish I hadn't because for just that moment it "woke" me up to the real world and I don't want to be in the real world on my Disney vacation. So, I suggest that if you don't want to ruin your "magic" don't open any CM only doors. JMO

I agree ! I would feel terrible if I saw something that would spoil the magic!
