I'm not a Cast Member, so I've never opened one of those doors.

I think I understand the thought of taking a peek in! But I have a feeling it is just a bunch of cast members getting ready for their shifts...Sounds like you might enjoy a behind the scenes tour, like Keys to the Kingdom or Backstage Magic??

When I was visiting with a cast on my leg, I asked my CM DD if that qualified me and she said :...

On our last trip, however, we were using our guest assistance card to skip the stretching room at Haunted Mansion (it is too intense for 9yo) and we were taken through a couple of CM only doors (the first time was the entrance to the stretching room, the CM didn't understand, so we were re-routed to another part of the attraction). The show was still "on" in those areas, and probably served as a way for the CMs to step into their roles before stepping into the attraction.

Um, I didn't open the door, but someone left it open. Naturally, if a door is open then you must be welcome to visit!

I peeked, took a look around, wasn't too interesting. It was at MK by the POTC ride. There were a few CM's having a smoke (they didn't see me). It looked like an alley way in an inner city really. There were a few dumpsters with trash. Nothing you'd really want to see. All the action happens below you at MK anyway.

I have taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and that is an option if you really want. It's the CMs way on and off "stage"
