Well that stinks We were planning on going to the MK on that Friday night (15th) for EMH and we always get there earlier to at least be able to hear the music playing as the parade runs. First having to get to the AC before it closes and now trying to squeeze in a spectro parade.... this trip is going to be busy busy busy.

We missed the parade last trip because of a rain-out and just a few weeks ago I commented to DH "I don't care what else we do...but we're seeing Spectro this time!"

Wish me luck for my last night

Bummer.
At least now I can look forward to seeing the afternoon parade at 7pm instead of standing in the blazing sun in the middle of the afternoon. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Abby is not going to be happy at all. She likes watching this and Wishes on our last night in the park - and our last night this year is the 18th.

I just reworked our plans so we can see it before the 15th. Thanks for the info. I am excited about seeing the parade at night as well. We don't usually catch the parades when we go in the summer because we are back at the resort resting.

Well I guess I'm going to have to change our plans for the 14th and head to MK instead of Epcot. Bummer. But I am excited about seeing the Dreams Parade as we don't see the afternoon parades because its just too darn hot.

Darn!! We'll definitely miss it. I'm the only one who is a bit dissappointed, my DD's are sort of glad. They say the "musicians" on the rolling balls freak them out!! I guess I'll have to listen to the SpectroMagic soundtrack (on the ipod) during the Dreams parade!

I'm bummed

Ok, so spectro magic is NOT just a rename of the Electrical Light Parade?? Because someone told me it was the same, and since we missed most of it when I was there every other time in the 70's and 80's I was hoping to see it when we go on the 15th! I loved the ELP and especially the music which was done by Michael Iceburg. It was awesome. So I thought we would get to see it, but if Spectromagic isnt the same parade as ELP then maybe Im not so bummed. HMMM

The ELP was not on the lagoon, it was on mainstreet. In fact if you go to Youtube you can search for Michael Iceberg in concert #1, after a starwars warm up he starts the lead-in music for ELP and then they SHOW the original ELP from 1975! Thats one of the many years my brother cried because he was too tired and we left before the parade ended. It even shows the Pete's Dragon Elliot--that was my favorite.
The lagoon parade of lights was there on the water then too, we watched it from Poly. But ELP was on main street.

They Still do the original version of the Main Street Electrical Light Parade at Disneyland in California. But not in Disneyworld.

Similar names, but two different shows - The Electrical Water Pageant is the little light parade that runs through Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake every night.

The Main Street Electrical Parade was the light parade at MK that was replaced in 2001 with Spectromagic. It was much better than Spectro IMHO.

Easy to get them confused, the names are so similar!
