Yup, that will be our plans, too as we are heading home the 31st!

What puzzles me is that I read the parade would go down Main Street circle the hub, and come back. Um...how can that be possible since the parade would obviously not be over by the time the first float went around the hub.

The parade obviously can't go through Adventureland but could it go through Tomorrowland?

Second note.. I wonder how this will affect the halloween parade during the Halloween parties? We're going to the first party on September 5th and a bridge is a major project. I'm not convinced it'll be done by the end of August.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the revised parade route?!?

How is it going to be able to go up and down the Main Street at the same time? Won't the beginning of the parade be ready to come down Main Street while the end of the parade is still going up Main Street? There will be quite a traffic jam in the hub....unless they cut some floats out of the parade and keep them all close together.

I think they will have to remove floats to accomplish the modified parade route. Maybe lose the small sections of walking characters....

Yeah Rob, that's my issue with it too. You can't possibly get more than 4 floats MAX on the Castle side of the hub before the first float would want to go by. I'm sure they understand it better than me but I think they should come up with an amazing show to do and just drop the parades.

I haven't seen spectro in person yet, but I watched it on youtube and I think you are right shell. ELP was in a way more magical.

And I thought it was just me. I was wondering how they were going to accomplish this myself. They might just be able to do it if they do what we all want to do - drive down the sidewalk to avoid traffic.

Anyone else remember the days when the nighttime parades and fireworks were only on Saturdays (value seasons)? If you did your traveling on the weekend, you'd miss out. I think we all are very lucky that WDW has them every day now, so we can pick and choose when to see them.

It's interesting that they choose August to do their work on the bridge, but it makes me think it's something structurally needed or they would have waited for a more quiet time in the parks. I'm sorry for those of you who will miss the parade.

Well, I have never seen Spectro and planned on seeing it this trip in August. We leave the 30th. We have a 10:55pm flight out of MCO and are using DME. No way we can catch it and get back to our resort and get picked up on time. What a bummer!

Bummer ... we aren't getting there until August 17th. Guess we will just have to wait until our trip in October, instead. We love Spectromagic. but, like another post said, now we won't have to wait in the blazing sun in the afternoon to see the parade. By 7 p.m. it should be much cooler.
