| Spoke with someone Re: PI and PAP Ok, so I called a number today and pressed option 2 as instructed by a very knowledgeable and helpful CM. The number is 407-566-4985 and again, option 2. I waited on hold for about 5 mins when someone came on the line. I expressed that the golf option did not work for my family and I was looking to be compensated in another way. She said that Disney was trying to come up with other options for people as the whole "golf" thing didn't go over very well. She said her manager was in a meeting this morning about what other options they are going to present to guests who are unsatisfied with the resolution. I calmly explained that golf was not an option for us, well at least me, and I don't think the compensation was fair. I asked for a credit on our upcoming reservation and she said she was unable only because she doesn't have a way to credit toward a reservation. I understood. We went back and forth about it and she tried to get her manager, but she wasn't answering the internal paging system and thought she might have been at lunch. We ended the conversation by me giving her my number, but not before she asked what type of compensation I would like. I told her tickets to La Nouba would be cool, a gift card would be ok, access to something else that I can participate in would be acceptable or just cold hard cash. She will present the situation to her manager and see what options are available to me. I will keep you posted. |

| My TA called and got the whole golf thing and she told the CM that golf wasn't a good choice since so many don't golf. There has to be another alternative.

| Yes, please, I echo the request to let us know what happens. I too am displeased with the golf as compensation on my PAP...I would have been happier with something so small as a restoration of a special viewing area for fireworks or parades for compensation. Heck, even the creation of a special discount code for PAP holders would have been a better benefit (and helped Disney by getting us to spend our money there) Gift cards or tickets would be even better. I will send pixies for all of us in the predicament and keep my fingers and toes crossed.

| Yeah, when I got the postcard in the mail about the golf thing, I was thinking - so what if I don't golf (which I don't). If you don't golf, you're not just going to say, let me get a tee time and try it out. I'm not sure what they were thinking. I like the idea of being able to go to La Nouba or get tickets for a tour.

| Update! Well I got results. I called and talked to Beth in ticketing. They didn't call me back, but it wasn't because they forgot about me. The manager, Beth, was in a meeting all day and I called back first thing this morning, so she didn't even have the chance. Anyway, I explained the golf doesn't work for us. She looked at my usage and saw that so far we have only been to AK and TL. Well, I told her our usage gets heavier after August and about our upcoming trip. So what she did was, she downgraded our PAP's to AP's and gave us credit for the difference. Then she comped us a day at Typhoon Lagoon for our August trip. I don't have an exact figure for the credit as it hasn't show up on my credit card yet. However, in my haste to get this resolved, everything sounded so good, that I forgot to ask her how I was getting in for my last night of PI. I called her back to ask about that. Anyway, call the number and tell them you don't want golf. They'll do something. |

| So glad to hear that they were able to accommodate you! I wouldn't have been very happy with the golf 'replacement' either.
