Question Sorry if this is old news.........

But Im so out of touch lately

I was just looking through the posts in this forum for some interesting tidbits and noticed in one post that the Garden Grill character meals are going to end!!

Is this true or did I misread something. I hope it isnt. This will be the second meal I will have to change. The first was LTT now that they wont be doing character meals anymore.

Say it isnt so!!

I hope not! I have ADRs at both places because of the character meals. When were these changes supposed to take place?

Its true. The end dates are not immediate but both LTT and GG are changing how they do meals. There are several threads on it in the Eateries section.

Yep, it's true. Last character lunch for GG is October 5, and the last character dinner for LTT is January 4, 2009. GG will only be open for dinner starting Oct. 6, and so far it appears as though LTT will remain open for dinner - just no characters. I think that was the final consensus anyway....

Will LTT dinner, have the a menu like at lunch or will it still be family style (I love their lunch menu, but not a fan of dinner). Just wondering?

We do love LTT for the way the characters are dressed - it seems that's one that shouldn't be cut. We love GG for the food!

That's a good question. I'm also happier with the lunch than the dinner menu. I haven't heard reports one way or the other, but I suspect Disney is doing this to increase revenues (it doesn't seem to be due to a drop in popularity of character meals). If so, then they're probably going to an a la carte menu.

This all raises the possibility that, by making character meals harder to get, they're intending to raise prices on those, too. Only time will tell.
