| RnRc to have new sponsor? I was reading on Screamscape where Aerosmith's contract is supposedly going to end soon and they're looking into a new sponsor for the ride. While this may not even be true, the article goes on to say that Hanes may be an interested sponsor and if so, they would work them into the theming and even change the music of the attraction around a little bit. I really hope this is NOT true-what are we supposed to listen to, those four fruits singing the Hanes song while we fly thru packages of underwear instead of Hollywood and donuts?!?!     |

| noooooooooooooooo no no no this cannot happen only motley crue may take aerosmiths place that is it. Hanes?? i mean are we gonna start looping thru underwear now??

| Well, we're talking about two different things here: One is a sponsor for the ride, which would be a financial backer. Someone reported seeing a Hanes logo on the guitar on the front of the RnRC building, which may mean that Hanes paid for their logo at the site and would be considered a sponsor similar to Kodak at the Imagination Pavillion or HP at Mission Space. Aerosmith isn't a financial backer of the attraction, in fact they got paid for the use of their name. Screamscape said they have a 10-year contract with Aerosmith. If I remember correctly RnRC opened in 2000, so that contract would be up in 2 years. So WDW could either renew it or refurb the attraction with a new band. | The only way I would want to ride a roller coaster involving underwear is if David Beckham is wearing them. Other than that . . . no thanks.

| Now, I can see some real synergies if an underwear company sponsored a truly extreme thrill ride (Post-show sales of underwear could be substantial), but it doesn't seem the Disney thing to do.
