If the Pirates movies continue and expand on all the supernatural phenomena, they're going to have to merge the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion attractions.

Oh well, I guess pirates battling evil beasties diverts us all from the pillage and plunder side of the equation.

Wow that would be great. It is completely possible as the end of the third film left it open for a fourth. I'm glad that the Elizabeth/Will story line would not be the focus as I think that it has run its course and there really isn't anything that would have changed. Thanks for the link!

Wouldn't that be funny if Jack Sparrow were the founder / a founder in some way of the Gates family? In addition, there is STILL lots of gold (and other treasure) un-accounted for between the New World and the Old...

It is possible that Elizabeth could continue with her life using the fountain of youth and Will be the guide of those lost at sea... Or Disney could pick up the story with their son.

Of the 3 films, the first was definitely the best. The other two didn't seem to have a real focus, just more of a "What can we make these characters do now?" sort of flavor.

I would hate to see Kiera Knightly leave the franchise; she was the one saving grace in the second and third movies for me. But the idea of a movie focusing on the immutable Captain Barbossa and the unfathomable Captiain Sparrow does not seem to be an unworkable or unwieldy conceptualization. Savvy?

For those who would miss the love story if Will and Elizabeth are taken out of the movie, they could write in a female pirate for Jack to spar with and eventually fall for. I'm pretty sure he deserves that...

I'm sure I'd go to see it. I'll take what I can... and give nothin' back!

I would love to see another Pirates movie myself. I would however miss the Elizabeth/Will storyline and really can't imagine a movie without them.

I'd miss the Will/Elizabeth storyline as well, but I guess it's better than no movie at all.

I agree with that! Also with pp who said the 1st was the best.

the supernatural stuff doesn't do it for me. If they make a 4th I'm sure we'll see it, but I don't like how far-fetched they've become. I'd like some standard pirate fare.

Bring on the Pirates...I mean, that is the name of the movie. Barbossa and Sparrow sounds very intriguing.
