Question COP Fastpass?

(Sorry if this has already been talked about!)

Has anyone heard of or actually received a fast pass to Carousel of Progress while getting a fast pass from another ride in MK??

I did, when I was there a year ago, week right after Labor Day. Both my husband and I received "Surprise Fastpasses" for CoP when getting one for Space Mountain. We used them, but there wasn't any reason to; the ride was half-empty and there was no line.

We received a bonus fastpass for this attraction when we were getting fastpasses for Buzz Lightyear in July.

It's an interesting way to promote attendance at an attraction. There are times when the popular attractions get too crowded, and they need some way to siphon-off some guests to the walk-ons. It's kind of like putting up "This Way to the Egress" signs.

they've been doing this lately. buzz lightyear and philharmagic have been distributing them.

when m:s was suffering an influx of bad publicity, they would give bonus FPs for it at test track

although here it's almost silly, since CoP doesn't have FP let alone need it, nor do the attractions distributing it even have the FP machines on most of the time, let alone need them.

but because Disney promised CoP would be operating seasonally for years after it was open daily and nobody seemed to believe that over what the Disney calendar says, I suppose it's the least they could do.

Yes! We got "surprise" FP for COP when we got FP for Buzz Lightyear when we were there begininning of August. But again we did not need them as there was no line and the ride was half empty.

My bf and I got FP for COP when we were getting FP for Buzz Lightyear. . .but, we had just rode COP to escape the rain so we never used them . . . and never really needed to because there was no line.

they should randomize the FPs- cop, splash, etc :P be nice if I got a fp for space and got a BTMRR as a bonus magical fp.

be rare, and random. this could be an easy and very cheap way of doing a YOMD thing :P
