| ??Toy Story 3?? I heard on a local radio talk show that there is a "Toy STory 3" on the way. Is that true or was he joking??

| Nope, it's true! I think it was originally going to be a straight-to-video thing until John Lasseter came on board with the Disney/Pixar deal. He yanked it back and is now making it a more "Pixar-worthy" movie that is scheduled to be released in the movie theatres. | never heard of a direct to video (although it wouldn't surprise me), but the deal was that since disney owns everything pixar distributed through them, they owned toy story and were planning on making toy story 3 on their own without pixar (although john ratzenberger was very vocal about not participating with no pixar). it's got a slated release date that escapes me at the moment (i assume the above article mentions it), sometime in 2010. toy story 1 and 2 will first be re-released theatrically in 3d.

| There was a piece on wdwinfo. I believe that talked about the movie and that along with original cast members, Michael Keaton has signed onto be Ken opposite Jodi Benson returning as Barbie. It was a brief piece and I don't think it referenced anything about theater movie or straight to video. Look under Disney News on wdwinfo. as I could be wrong about it being Michael Keaton.

| I heard Toy Story 3 is in the works and it should be released in 2010. My boys are very excitied as am I because this is our favorite Disney/Pixar movie.

| I can't wait to take my cousin! I took him to see the first two when he was little. In fact come to think about it Toy Story was his first theatre Movie. The only problem is that he's 15 now but I will still drag him to see it!

| one of the main reason Pixar is still with Disney is because Disney would have total control of the Disney-Pixar films and would run them into the ground... and Pixar wouldn't abandon their original characters...
