| So branching off a little from the big october announcement post, here is what I am wondering (and would think is super cool if it happens!) Do you think they will announce a disney airline? Do you think it would be a good idea to have one? Would you fly them if so? I wonder if they would have a character on flights to entertain everyone...

| That would be pretty neat, but I doubt it makes financial sense, especially now.

| Although that would be fun to think about, I don't think Disney will get their own airlines....cost of fuel, the vast number of larger airports they woulde need to service, I just can't see it. But you never know, they couldn't do worse thaqn many current carriers, but then again, think how much more pricey their ships are to cruise on I can't see a need in this current ecoonomy. That downer aside: I would LOVE to see a Mickey Mouse Airline! The characters as crew (teehee...hmmm a goofy pilot perhaps) would make the time go quicker and entertain the little ones on longer jaunts. We could watch Disney Movies, Listen to Disney Music, Woohoo. Yum think of the snack possibilitie: Dole Whips, Mickey Bars, uh Turkey legs...Yum Okay so I wanna think about it for a bit. Nah not a possibility I think, but still fun to consider the possibilities if it wee to happen.

| I'd fly Disney airlines! If they have great CM's like they do in the parks, it's got to be better than what we've been dealing w/ so far! |

I also don't think it would be an airline. Disney has a reputation for pulling anything that isn't "wildly" popular. With how airlines are suffering right now, an airline would not fit in the corporate mold at this time, IMHO. I could be totally wrong, but it doesn't make sense to me right now. My guess is that it's about several things at once -- similar to how they did an October press event in October 03 to announce Mission:Space, Mickey's Philharmagic and lots of other new stuff. Then again in May of '05, they did a press event to show off Lucky the Dinosaur, Hong Kong Disney, Disney's Magical Express, and other new stuff plus the Year of a Million Dream promotion. From what I've seen, the bigger press events are a combination of "press-worth" items. From what Dave Marx has said, they haven't done the blitz on getting the press and appropriate guests (authors, travel agents, etc.) invited to this one... It's very possible that this "big announcement" won't be as "big" as has been rumored by fans on-line. Just my 2 cents. Eileen

| I doubt they'd get into the airline business. Too much chance for bad PR (delayed flights, missing baggage, etc).
