Afternoon Tea Recipe Suggestion Needed UPDATE in Post

I'm having an elegant afternoon tea in December and need a recipe or suggestion.

I'm having sweets and scones, of course, but instead of having the finger sandwiches that I'm planning, I thought it would be nice to have a "hot" savory. I'm drawing a blank.

My finger sandwiches that I had planned were a vegetarian cream cheese/cucumber/tomato/scallion sandwich and a country ham dijonnaise sandwich. But now I'm not sure if I want that or not.

Since it will be cold in December, I was thinking of something hot that I can put in the chafing dish, but I'm not finding anything good online or in my recipe books. I don't want to do the meatball-thing either at an elegant tea.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

UPDATE: The mini-quiche idea gave me a thought. Paula Deen has a "Hot Chicken Salad" recipe that she makes in a casserole dish. It has diced chicken breast, celery, almonds, cheese, mayo, etc., in it and it actually sounds pretty tasty.

Could I put this chicken recipe in individual mini-pie tarts, bake, and then keep warm in a chafing dish? Or will they get soggy in the warming dish? I'm thinking they won't, but I'm not too sure. Anyone have any expert advice??

Re: Afternoon Tea Recipe Suggestion Needed

Stuffed mushrooms.
Cheese fondue with savory dippers like sesame pretzel sticks, homemade/crusty bakery bread, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, or yellow squash (very tasty raw!).
Chicken satay (should keep fairly well over a low-heat chafing dish).
