Sausage balls........

I found a recipe for these. Has anyone made these before?

3 c bisquick
1 lb ground sausage
2 c grated cheddar cheese

Mix it all together. roll into balls and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Serve warm.

That's the recipe I use too, but like Dawn, Luke asked that I use sharp cheddar.

Re: Sausage balls........

These are really good! My DS makes these and the extended family requests them often when we're having football or NASCAR parties.

Re: Sausage balls........

They are yummy. I had them at a friend's New Year's Eve party 22 years ago and have been making them ever since.

Re: Sausage balls........

I've made them before, although, it has been some time ago.

I think I adjusted one or more of the ingredients, probably the sausage or the cheese. Not sure if I used less or more than what they suggest, but it's a foolproof recipe. You can sort of eyeball the ingredients and decide for yourself.

Re: Sausage balls........

I LOVE sausage balls! They are a Southern staple at parties & wedding receptions (the more informal ones). They're really good for a brunch, too, as they are kinda breakfast-y and kinda lunch-y. You cna make them up the night be fore (or even earlier and freeze them) and bake in the AM.

Re: Sausage balls........

I think I added more cheese and bisquick, depending on how fatty the sausage was. But real tasty. I think I had mustard and horsey sauce for dipping too.
