The Deen Brothers Cookbook.........

Jamie and Bobby released their first cookbook yesterday. I have read every page and perused every photo and here is my review. Those boys can cook me anything they want, any day of the week I really like the way the book is laid out - lots of pictures of the food (not just photos of the eye candy KWIM ). There were quite a few recipes that I may be adding to my Easter Brunch this weekend - its gonna be a Deen Family bash. I've got a Smithfield Ham and all the recipes I have are from Paula or the boys!
While I was at the book store yesterday, I also got another book that was just released. Its called "Paula Deen - A Memoir - It Ain't All About the Cookin' ". I only had a chance to look thru the photos in the center of it but I can't wait to read it. She tells some of the best stories I ever heard.

Love those boys!! And their mom is a hoot too! Lucky for me, she's coming to Wisconsin to promote her new book and I got tickets to see her, and get the book too! I'm so excited -- now only if those boys would tag along!!

I the entire Deen family. Paula is just the right amount of crazy (my mom is just like her! ), and all her receipes that I've cooked (or eaten) have been delicious. And those Deen boys...I'm known to be watching their show and go, "MMM! Looks good! And the food ain't bad either! Bobby is my future hubby, he just don't know it yet.

I can't wait to check out both those new books!

I think those 'boys' are as yummy as their cooking. (In fact, I had a racy dream about Jamie a few months ago and I seriously blush whenever he comes on the TV -- which makes my DH just nuts!!)

MMMmmmmmmm love watching those boys cook. And eat. And talk. And just about anything else. I especially love when they end up on their mama's show. They all seem to love each other, and more importantly, enjoy being together!

You want to see blush - look at the photo of me with Paula, Jamie, Uncle Bubba in my bio and you'll see Jamie blush - grabbing his rear was way better than 2nd basing Karen

Oh,.... you mean *THIS* picture, Crystal?!

... and right in front of his momma. For shame, girl.... for shame!!

yes... I do believe there is quite a difference between goosing Jamie and 2nd-basing Karen (no matter how lovely she is)

Just got back from a trip to Bloomington, IN (about an hour away) - went to the Barnes & Nobles (have that discount card) and looked at the book and as AMAZING as soom of the food looked, I opted for a Southbeach Cookbook and yet another low-carb cookbook instead. A lot in the book would kill all of our blood sugar, as much as I WANT IT AND WANT IT NOW!!! LOL
