| No help here. I don't have one and the only thing I ever remember my mom making in hers was turnip. I'd be interested to hear what others use theirs for as well!

| I don't have one but have often wanted one. All I really remember is my Mom making us be very, very careful when it was being used.

| I can with mine. Once in a while I will cook a roast in it for homemade soup. It tenderizes it so good.

| We use ours on occassion - there are recipes that came with it that are pretty good. We mostly use it to tenderize ribs, for chicken stew, and to make applesauce. |

| I have one. My mom used to make roasts in it when we were growing up. YUMMY. Although I've come to love roast in the slow cooker just as well, and since that's much easier, that's usually what we do now. I've never been scared to use it. I use a long tined fork to take the jiggler (whatever it's called??) off after running the pot under cold water.

| I love my pressure cooker.. I use it for stews, soups & if you're in a hurry it's a great potato cooker for mashed potatoes or potato salad.. or quick carrot cooker.. I'll have to try to remember specific recipes.. I usually use it when I want the meat SUPER tender.. One of the keys is whatever liquid you put in there will not evaporate much, so add accordingly

| Modern ones are quite safe -- I wouldn't use one I picked up at a yard sale or anything that was passed down. New... and with appropriate gaskets and manuals!! I know you can make chicken that tastes like Chick-fil-a... YUM!! Eileen
