Frozen Red Baron pizzas on sale from Target.
Omelets (our friend gives us eggs from her chickens)--I LOVE them with leftover linguine and sauce, but that wouldn't work with your DD
Pancakes
If you buy any frozen vegetarian items, the cash register will give you a coupon for more (we do this all the time.)
We buy dented food, discount produce, cheese ends, day-old bread, all that stuff.

2 pounds of stew meat
1 can of Campbell's soup
1 can of Campbell's cream of Mushroom soup

Combine in a covered casserole dish and cook for 2 hours.
serve over egg noodles. Yummmmmm!

Today's parent did an article on how to make good and healty meal for just 1$ per serving! I try them all with my kids and even if this article is older than a year now, I still make some of those recipes.

Dinner for a Dollar!

The fully loaded spanish rice and the sausage and potato stew are our favorite. They even give you advice on how to save!!! I also have recipes in french that I could translate if you want!!!

around here the answer is gumbo.....

5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (5.97)
large pack zummos sausage...(6.98)**(any kind of sausage is fine...the turkey variety makes great gumbo too and a bit healthier)**
jar of roux.....(1.88)
fresh green onions and celery...one stalk of each (about 2.00 total)
water (about half the biggest pot you have) and seasonings

boil chicken and sausage and dice all.....setting to the side. Restart your biggest pot about halfway filled wtih water...when boiling add roux and follow directions. once your roux is completly mixed in and boiling....dice and add veggies.....let simmer on medium for about 30 minutes.....then season and add meat. turn to med low and let simmer for as many hours as you have. Make a pot of rice or a big bowl of potato salad and ENJOY!!!!!!

for about 17 bucks you have enough food to feed for 2 or 3 days.....and its yummy and warm and filling

We've used recipes from this site: Better Budgeting Website

So far they've all been pretty good - we especially like the bar-b-que cups, and the homemade quick veggie soup! YUM!
