| Electrasol Tabs Heinz ketchup. Big container. Upside down squeeze. Every week. Some things I only buy generic are Costco's big laundry detergent for the front loader and I do like the Walmart peanut butter. But I like Skippy too. |

| I buy mostly generic, but there are exceptions.....here are a few.......... kraft or hellmans mayonaise debbie cakes (the generic are the nastiest things ever!) oreo's (NO kiddo's) Glad forceflexgarbage bags ( I take no chances on rips, making disaster mess!) Diet coke (NO generic soda/ even though I seldom buy soda) hugges natural fit (they blow generic diapers away) With all that said, there are lots of things that I actually prefer generic!

| We don't buy it often, mostly just for parties, but name brand soda is a must!!! Heinz Ketchup Tropicana OJ Charmin, used scott in college cause it was cheaper, but this was the first item I 'upgraded' after I got a real job! Pampers (when DS still used them), No other brand worked for us! BJ's apple juice (comes in circular containers). I once accidentally bought 'lite' apple juice in a smaller, rectangular container at the grocery store, and DS noticed the difference. He still asks for 'circle' apple juice!! |

| DIET COKE is my big one. I can deal with Diet Pepsi, but no generics. When I was broke in college, my roommates and I tried drinking the Wal-Mart Sam's Choice brand - we called them "Skinny Sam's." It didn't last long at all. Others: Le Seur's peas Velveeta Cheese slices Fresh Step kitty litter (the cheap stuff is just powdery and gets everywhere) Pop Tarts (the generics are gross!) My favorites in salad dressing (Ken's Ceasar, Newman's Own honey mustard, etc.). I'm also picky with beauty products - it doesn't have to be expensive, but I've tried the generics on face wash, shampoo, etc. and it's just not the same (the face wash actually broke me out!). I really have very few. I guess my palate isn't very discerning on most things. I almost always buy generic medicines as well.

| Another brand name lover here - for most stuff. For non-food stuff, I mostly use generics - but I've gotta have my name brand sodas, cereals, and tuna fish! One noted exception - drink mixes - I don't care for Crystal Light's Peach Iced Tea - but Walmarts store brand is YUMMY!

| Mostly brand names snob here, but the essentials: Hellman's (or Best Foods as someone else pointed out) is the ONLY mayonaise. Nothing else is in its league. Bounty Paper Towels - generics don't hold up. Scott Tissue Toilet Paper - Never skimp on this one! Kleenex Brand Tissues Green Giant Frozen vegetables, preferably the new steam only kind Heinz Ketchup French's Yellow Mustard Pepsi

| Tina, I'm with you on the Kraft Mac n Cheese and the real Pop-Tarts. Most other things I can go with the store brand. I also only buy Tide and Downy. I have a picky nose and have to go with tried and true smells.

| Very few, but frozen peas are one - it has to be Bird's Eye and tinned spaghetti or baked beans has to be Heinz.

| Pretty much brand consistent here on a lot of things: Heinz Ketchup All Detergent (used to be Tide, but with the new Air Force camoflauge uniform (that is NOT camoflauge) we have to use something that does not have optical brightners...I HATED switching!) Bounce dryer sheets w/Febreeze JIF peanut butter Prego spaghetti sauce (for quick fixes, usually make from scratch) Velveeta cheese slices Kraft mac & cheese (another quick fix...love to make homemade from Velveeta block cheese) Dean's French Onion dip (can't get it at the commisary...I CRAVE it) Lay's potato chips Ortega taco dinner I'm sure there is probably more but I can't really think of them all...probably more like cleaning supplies and paper products) Store brands aren't bad, just not as good...not always economically better either. Have a happy Monday everyone!

| Definitely Pop Tarts Canned green beans have to be DelMonte Frozen breakfast waffles have to be Eggo OJ has to be Tropicana (no pulp) If it's something you mix in with other things, it can be generic or store brand. Soups can be store brand if others aren't on sale.
