| Poll time!!! I am on a diet. No problem there. But I have been told by a certain woman who is rumored to be engaged to Robert Downy Junior that I should give up or cut down a lot on the amount of coffee I drink!! I need a poll!! Is four cups of coffee a day too much?? I also drink water(About four cups a day) And Gatoraid(One cup) Thanks for your input.

| I votes for "cut down", but you can also cut out the caffeine. At Weight Watchers they allow half of your daily water intake to be in the form of decaffeinated beverages. And Mrs. RDJ is right - cut out the Gatorade! |

| I agree. Ya need to cut the coffee down and watch the Gatorade. As Janice said it has lots of sugar and we only drink it occasionally. My DFIL swears it helps him when he feels like he's getting a cold. I'm trying to loose weight too and I cut down Coke to one a week and I drink lots of water. Good luck Scott, we're rooting for you!!!!

| DH's kidney doctor told him that 1 medium coffee and 1 can of Coke was too much caffeine for him in a day. He has since switched (will be 2 years in September) to decaffeinated everything. He's admitted that when he was weaning off the caffeine (actually, it was more like cold turkey), he didn't feel right, but now he loves how being caffeine-free makes him feel so much better!

| You might find that down the road you won't miss it as much as you think you will now. For health reasons I had to eliminate caffeine years ago. I have to say that it was tough at first since I used to have a can of Coke first thing in the morning.

| I would cut back. I've cut back on the amount of tea I drink a day to no more than two cups on weekdays and usually just the one at weekends. Before that, I was drinking much more than that. ![]()
