| There is a roast at home with my name on it..... I am so bummed! Of course there is always the chance of getting called in, but since work had been quiet the day before I figured I might get to stay home. So, around 1pm I pulled my 3+ pound chuck roast out of the fridge and got it ready to put in the crock pot along with some carrots, potatoes, and onions. I had just put everything into the crock pot and plugged it in when I got the call telling me I was going to have to go into work at 3pm. AARRGGHH!!!! That meant that my roast would be ready to eat at 8 or 8:30pm, and I wouldn't be home until 11:30pm or 12 midnight. So I have been sitting at work all night thinking of my nice, juicy roast with all the fixings sitting there ready to eat while I am stuck at my desk. On my dinner break I just had some soup and a veggie so I wouldn't spoil my appetite for later. ![]() So has something like this ever happened to you?

| Oh no!! Can't say that I've had that happen, but I have fixed something and had to put it on hold because DH has to go on a rescue or fire call.
