| a recipe and a I am sorry First let me say that I am sorry to the ones that asked for the following recipe. I work at a motel and the last two weeks have been CRAZY. I would love to know how parents can raise some of the kids I have come across the last 2 weeks. It is so bad that in one 24 hour time frame over 100 kids were arrested. A few days later in a 14 hour time frame the town had over 6 officers put out for the rest of the summer because of injerys from the job. And today made the week go down hill big time because I had a family member killed this weekend. So I must really say sorry. But here is the recipe for the Orange Cake. Hope you all enjoy it. Orange Cake 1 white box cake mix (I used Pillsbury cake mix) stuff to make the box mix 1 orange 1 can white icing food coloring Pre heat oven to 350. Zest orange and set aside. Mix cake by the directions, HOWEVER decrease the water by ¼ cup. Add ¼ cup of juice from the orange. Mix together. You can make the cake in regular pans (the round or square) or you can use a metal mixing bowl. The regular pans cook for 30 mins or until tooth pick comes out clean. If you use a mixing bowl set timer for 30 mins., if still jiggaly add 15 mins to the time. After 45 mins stick knife in to see if comes out clean. If it don’t add 15 more mins and then check. After an hour if still not done check after every 5 mins until done. Once done let cook in pan for 30 mins. Icing: Put icing in a bowl so that you have room to work. In the icing add 2 table spoons of juice from the orange. Mix into the icing. Color to the darkness of orange you want. Once cake has cooled for 30 mins flip out of pan and let cool the rest of the way. Once cake is cooled icing. |
