What's For Dinner Tonight?

I know it is still early, but I am pondering what we should make for dinner tonight. Last night we grilled steaks and baked au gratin potatoes in the oven. So what is everyone having for dinner tonight? Maybe this will give me some ideas of what to make!

We're having marinated rib eyes with baked potatoes tonight. Last night we finished up a new baked halibut recipe.

I'm not sure. We're going to the grocery store for a pre-beach-shopping-trip to buy food and stuff to take down. It's gonna be hard not to pick up take out after all that, 'cause I sure don't want to go home and cook something (but I know I also won't want to spend the $$ on takeout after spending what I know will be a lot at Food Lion). I'll let ya know!

For lunch, I fixed myself some pasta with leeks and some cream cheese. It's one of my favourite standby dishes.

We've got some ground beef we need to use, so it'll probably be hamburgers for us.

I made meatballs in the crockpot this a.m. and served them on rolls with cheese. Also had cut up cukes and carrots and for dessert melon drizzled with honey and a ricotta cheese with pistachios mixed in for a dip. Messy but yummy!

Amanda's not home (visiting a friend downstate), Jennie's not home (visiting a friend here in town), Sarah was starved - so she ate leftover Chinese, John had grilled cheese and tomato soup, which I dislike, so I had some dry Frosted Mini Wheats and a peach. Not much there for good ideas!

Tomorrow night I'll cook - I've got some black pepper and garlic marinated steak tips in the fridge defrosting. I'll grill those and serve them with rice pilaf and broccoli.

Tonight I made chicken stir-fry. Chicken cut up nice and small, fresh broccoli, carrots, red peppers and onions. Added some corn starch, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce and oj to make a nice sauce. Served with rice of course! My DH actually liked it (he's such a picky eater). DS6 and DS4 ate the chicken, broccoli and carrots. What more can I hope for?

Paula Deen's chicken and rice casserole last night and tonight I'm going to try a Lebanese dish called Ruzin Lubia. My aunt put this dish in the church cookbook ages ago and its time for something new around here.
