We are one. That means the nearest Starbucks is almost 30 minutes away. But that city has 3 of them with none closing. It's not like that's a huge town either. Sadly, many of the people here have no idea what they'll do. The NEW manager, relocated HIMSELF, moved over 8 hrs away from his family and is losing his job. They offered to relocate him, unfortunately he has a lease on his apartment for another 8 months. It's really very sad.

This may sound bad but, DH will still have 3 within 2 miles of our house in MD!
Less than 1 mile away in 2 different directions is one in a Safeway grocery store and one in a strip mall without a drive thru.
Less than 2 miles away is one inside Barnes and Noble. This one is his favorite. His motorcycle buddies all hang out there b/c they have many tables outside also. That's were they met tonight.

I have to drive about 8 miles to one by I-75 and battle the tourist driving to FL.

Guess our new one (not to mention the old one in Target about .1 miles away ) are just fine. Yak. Not a fan : My Dunkin' Donuts closed and now the closest one is too far for a "quick dash".

I'm sorry if what I am about to say offends anyone but it's about time Starbucks closes some of their shops. I don't go to any of them but I am a little sick of seeing so many around. Darn, you can't even go into a Vons to shop without seeing one. We have 3 of those shops in less that 2 miles about and all on the same street. I've tried thier coffee and don't like it and the cost is way out of line as well.
If those of you who can not get by without Starbucks and have your favorite shop closing, I am sorry but......it's about as bad as it was when I was a kid....a gas station of every corner. You can't turn around without seeing a Starbucks. Drive one

The one in the mall near my office complex is closing, but the one that's in the strip shopping center across the street from the mall is remaining open.

Ours are staying open, the new one in the shopping center across the highway, the one in Safeway, and the one in the Mall (know there are others in town, just don't go there)
The one near work is also remaining open.
Will have to go have a chai tea latte to celebrate! OK, a frap instead...
