Rub: 1/2 T garlic powder 1/2 t salt 1/2 t ground pepper Mix together and rub both sides of two 10 ounce thick cut ribeye steaks. Grill steaks with the lid closed over direct medium-high heat until cooked to desired doneness. We like just a hint of pink so DH does 5-6 minutes per side. While he's doing that I saute 1-2 large portebella mushrooms that have been cleaned and sliced in a tablespoon or two of butter with 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. They cook until barely tender for 4-5 minutes. Then add 1/8-1/4 cup red wine and cook until wine has evaporated. (2-3 minutes) Melt in a bit more butter just before serving Serve steak with mushroom wine butter sauce AND a sprinkling or two of crumbled blue or feta cheese. ![]() I'm sad to say that we don't have any mushrooms or blue cheese in the house. Bad Lorie!!

| No cooking tonight! DD is under the weather, and had bread and butter. DH bought himself some fried chicken for a late lunch, so he ate the rest for dinner. DS just munched and had some chicken, and I had a glass of Pinot Gris!! ![]()

| Forgot ours. DH who rarely cooks --- make his homemade chili! No cooking for me! He grew up having his chili with macaroni so he cooked it. I grew up having chili with saltines smashed up. I had that! Plus, here's the strange part... My school used to sell chili and peanut butter sandwiches (nothing but pb). So through the years, I enjoyed it. So I had a cup of chili w/crackers and a peanut butter sandwich. My Dgang think it's crazy! ![]() Has anyone else ever heard of that?
