| Grilled all weekend, but not tonight. ![]() Tonight's menu was a recipe that DH brought to our marriage. I call it a demented shepherd's pie! ![]() You brown hamburg and onions with seasonings...add cut potatoes and beef broth to cover. Boil until the potatoes are soft. Add corn on the side and presto -- demented shepherd's pie! I cut up a watermelon before dinner and we had that as a very refreshing salad.

| Aww, there's the July thread. We had BLT and slaw one night, grilled burgers and leftover potato salad another. Last night was grilled Italian sausage and leftover potato salad. Tonight we're having some leftover meatloaf from the freezer, cheesy french bread and a tossed salad. Tomorrow night we're having a small chicken breast, asian slaw, and an egg roll.

| Since the refrigerator repair guy didn't get here much before Jeffrey had to leave for work, we ordered a pizza for DH & DS and an eggplant grinder for me. ![]() FYI: The Maytag Corporation had a recall on 1.6 million refrigerators sold between January 2001 and January 2004. The refrigerators (side-by-side and top freezer) are Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Admiral, Magic Chef, Performa by Maytag and Crosley. The regulator for the refrigerator's compressor needs to be replaced as it can cause overheating and pose a serious fire hazard. Ours was replaced for free. More information can be found at www.repair.maytag.com (I called on Friday and we received an appointment for today, so they were very efficient in getting someone out here and are were very fast & clean in the repair!)

| Tonight was baked pork chops in 5 spice with an onion/raisin chutney, spinach, corn, apple sauce (homemade, of course), and for dessert - I think the kids and I will make some peanut butter playdough and some Strawberry soup later tonight! (we can't eat dessert right after dinner - all but Lauren are full - Lauren is a bottomless pit and is ALWAYS hungry) |
