Corn

How much is roadside corn in your area?

I drove by the one near my house yesterday and they wanted $5 a dozen!

I think I'll drive around till I find a cheaper farmer! Or wait till a week later. That just seems to high.

It's not ready just yet in my area, but I wish it was $5 a dozen, from what I remember last year it was 7 or 7.50 a dozen...but it is fresh and we usually only get it once a year fresh like that so I don't mind as much...

We just paid $5 for a dozen. It was high but the family wanted fresh corn on the cob.

We just picked up some local corn at the farm stand last weekend. I want to say it was around $6.00 a dozen. We only bought 4 ears of corn and they were each .70! It was worth it, because it was delicious.

We got some at the farmstand here in town last weekend and it was $2 a dozen. It was $2.19 a dozen at the grocery store.

My mom just picked up a bunch for both of us at $1/dozen last weekend. 'Course, we're surrounded by cornfields, so we're pretty close to the source.

The farm near us where we can go and pick our own is not ready to pick until next month, which we are looking forward to picking for the first time.

What's your best way of cooking Corn?

Our local corn won't be ready for another month yet. But $5 for 13 ears was pretty typical last year.

Our local farmers have had a couple of tough years with flooding, etc so I don't mind the higher price if it helps them to stay in business.

Not ready yet here in MT either, but our local Albertson's had it for about this price a few weeks ago.
