Pierogi Fest 2009!

It's that time of year again! My friend just called me and reminded me that this weekend is Pierogi Fest! DH and I are going down there after work for dinner. Have youhad Pierogis before? What are your favorite kinds? How do you like them?

We like the sweet cheese, potato & cheese, spinach and kraut & mushroom. Ok, we pretty much like them all.

When we make them at home I like to fry them a little and serve them w/ sour cream.

Unfortunately, I don't live in an area that has a great fest like you guys. My pierogies are limited to Mrs. T's.

I come from the Binghamton, NY area though and we always have great church suppers featuring pierogies and stuffed cabbage.

Oh I love me some pierogis. Then again, it's a potato product. What's not to love?

My in-laws are polish, so these are a staple for many family functions. I like the cheese and potato. No way to the kraut, blahhhh! I've even had the dessert ones with blueberries in them, again not my fave. I guess I like the savoury more than the sweet.
Enjoy your weekend.
