| Thanks home4us123!!! I recall saying today that Mindy was a brat! Why? She surprised me with a package! Our dinner thread gives all of us great ideas for meals. Mindy keeps mentioning a dish from her part of the world - Spiedies. I was intrigued. Plus my Luke is dating a girl from Mindy's neck of the woods! So Luke has tried Spiedies already and was no help to me in figuring out what they were whatsoever! And what does Mindy do? She sends me everything I need to make Spiedies -- not one, not two, but three bottles of marinade and the metal skewers...called metal rods???...to hold the chicken in place! Thank you Mindy! You the greatest!!!!

Spiedies are marinated bite size pieces of chicken or pork. You grill them on skewers and serve them in a roll or slice of italian bread. For some reason you only find them around here in upstate NY. ![]()

| So, we do grilled chicken & veggie skewers here as well. If I just put that on a good roll or italian bread then I've got Spiedies? Or is the marindade a particular kind?
