Talking Replaced my most used pan with Le Cruset

I just bought my first piece of Le Cruset to replace the pan that I use the most. I went to the outlet mall near me to get some new shoes and decided to go in to the Le Cruset store to look since it's right across from the store where I get my shoes. They have a sale going till the end of the month and I decided to go ahead and start replacing the pans that I use the most since they're in need of replacing. So I bought a red 4.5QT round oven to replace the 4QT pan/pot that I use the most. Since the store is a factory outlet the products in it are factory 2nds so are discounted anyway. The list price on the pan I bought (according to the sticker in the lid) is $275, the regular price at the outlet is $171, and I got it on sale for $129.99 for a grand total of $141.17 by the time tax was added. The nice thing about this is that I will never have to replace that pan again. In fact the pan will probably out live me.

One day I want Le Creuset as well - we always talk about buying it, but just never get round to it...

You'll love it. I love mine and want more (I only have 2 pieces, the round 5-1/2 qt and the oval 5 qt). The only draw back is that it's HEAVY, especially lifting it out of the oven when it's full of food.

I grew up with it - and still love it. I do tend to use my other cookware more, just because I put my Le Crueset away in the cabinet better, and I hate the idea that I might damage it! I love to use it when I do, though!
