| Vitamin Water and Energy Drinks - do you use them? Does anyone drink these? Do they give you more energy, or make you feel better?

| I get vitamin water now and then, but I get the sugar free ones at the Costco only. Grace drank one of those energy drink before prom so she would stay up later. It's just caffeine and sugar. |

| I used to work midnights, and on nights when I hadn't got much sleep the day before, I'd drink RedBull Sugar-Free. I could really tell a difference, and it was nice for an hour or so - which is usually all I needed - it was always the hours before 8 am where my energy started to flag. It's basically only good for short bursts of energy. I also like to mix it with alcohol when I'm out late - it helps the taste of the booze, and gives me an extra boost of "party power." ![]() I've tried a few flavors of Vitamin Water, and I'm not a fan at all. Maybe I'm not drinking the right type, but I've tried 3 different kinds, and wasn't able to finish a single one.

| Vitamin water is more hype and corn syrup than vitamin. (Sweetened with local honey instead of chemicals.) My grandmother always made time for tea after work in the afternoons and now I know why.

| Nope - as a nursing student, I've become hyper-aware of chemicals and as Chrissi says, the hype behind many items. Power drinks, Gatorade, vitamin water, etc. are just drinks marketed to make us THINK we need them. Eat right, drink lots of water, and get enough rest and you don't need anything else. (although, as a nursing student I also don't always follow this advise, and end up getting the one thing I don't like to keep me going - coffee) |

| I drink Gatorade in the summer. Even if I drink a lot of water, I still tend to get dehydrated easily. So, my doctor told me to drink Gatorade. I could make my own version of Gatorade but I am lazy. I will also drink one Lemon Propel a week. Some people drink wine or beer, I drink a Propel. I also drink a Protein Shake after each work out. I have never had an energy drink and I will never will.

| I've never had them. If I need vitamins, I stick with tablets from the health food shop. I'm taking energy tablets to help with my chronic fatigue at the moment.

| I love XXX Vitamin Water, but, only if it is cold. I usually keep a bottle or two in my fridge. As for energy drinks, I like Amp, but don't usually drink it. I only ever drink Red Bull when it is mixed with Jagermeister.

| I drink a Vitamin Water every day. I have nutrient absorbtion problems and get regular labs. Once I started drinking one of those daily my labs were consitently PERFECT! I get sooo tired of people telling me they have calories while I'm drinking one....Um that's kinda the point! I don't drink energy drinks though I get all I need from my morning coffee! |

| Vitamin Water is sweetened with sugar, not corn syrup. We buy Vitamin Water for our kids to drink instead of soda, which we never drink because of HFCS. A 12-ounce can of Coke has 40 grams of sugar per serving. A 20-ounce bottle of Vitamin Water has 13 grams of sugar per serving, so I see that as a good alternative. But we're under no false impressions about it being "healthy." It's a once in a while thing, the way soda would be. I used to drink lots of Red Bull, but I quit maybe 5 years ago. And OMG the withdrawal headache was brutal. That was enough to keep me off of it for good.
