| I entered our Oktoberfest Bake Contest today I made Wendy's Sausage Cake : A Different kind of Spice Cake She made it for us when we went to visit a few months back and it was AMAZING - can't taste the sausage at all. I took mine in about 15 minutes before the deadline and the mayor had already started tasting and I heard them say as I was leaving "Get the mayor another plate". I'm hoping as the last tried cake that it will be prominent in his mind when marking the ballet sheet! LOL They are judging on appearance, texture, taste and originality. I also gave the other cakes the stink-eye when I left hehehehehehe  Wish me luck, they'll be awarding prizes tonight at 5:00 at the main stage. First prize is $100!! I already have my acceptance speech written  Sam is video taping the whole thing, so I'll let you all know how it went with a video summary.

| Well, terribly disappointed. Apparently, cheesecake (which according to about every site I've been to says its PIE), won all three places. I didn't realize that my CAKE - with flour - was going against cheesecake. So I'm disappointed, not so much that I didn't win, but that I was being judged against cheesecake.
