Question for Biggest Loser Dieters...

DH & I are going to start following the Biggest Loser plan and I was wondering if anyone joined Biggest Loser online.

Just curious if it's worth paying the monthly fee or if it's something we could do on our own.

Thanks!

I joined but then heard about another site that basically does the same thing for free. Its sparkpeople.com. I still belong to the biggest loser one, but I have seen the sperkpeople one and its very similar.

My husband and I use Lance Armstrong's site, LIVESTRONG.COM - Health, Fitness, Lifestyle | LIVESTRONG.COM

There are two options for the website - free or a fee of I think $49 for the year. DH uses the free options and I paid for the enhanced version.

The best part of the site is the MyPlate, a place for you to enter what you eat and it breaks it down into carbs, proteins, and fats. It also gives you a healthier choice for next time. It has an extensive list of foods that you can choose from, such as several restaurants, store brands, and national brands. Many of those foods are "verified", meaning they know for sure exactly what is in the food.

A few of the other awesome options:
  • Find your Resting Metabolic Rate so you can find how many calories you burn just existing.
  • Set your goal weight - it will tell you how many calories you consumed during the day and how many more you can comsume
  • Enter the exercise you did that day - it has an extensive list from exercises, house cleaning, and even playing the violin

We are doing a Biggest Loser contest at school and almost all of the "contestants" are now using the Livestrong site because it is soooo easy.

God luck!
