What brand of French press, Rachel? I'm looking to get one.

Sheila, I've tried a lot of drip coffee machine brands over the years and finally found one that works well for me -- it's actually a Black and Decker and has a thermal carafe rather than a glass pot (a must for me as I tend to drink the pot over a full day.) But, I'm no connoisseur of coffee, so a purist might suggest a totally different maker.

I look forward to the Pumpkin Spice Lattes every year. Yum! I don't think 210 calories is that bad, really.

I guess I compare it to what food I could eat for that many calories- they are great treats but thats a lot of calories for coffee

We were shocked to find out how many calories were in Smoothie King drinks too. A "healthy" drink should not add 500 calories to your diet!

Since I'm not a regular coffee drinker - to me they are a treat and I always get the smallest. I had a gingerbread latte with soy milk and whippped cream yesterday morning while I was grocery shopping (my grocery store has a starbucks in it)! YUMMY!

Yep, I knew this. Have you tried any of the SF syrups. IF they have them, that will bring your calories down. That's why I stick to the capp. Although they aren't the best in calories, I get them SUPER dry - which is WAY less milk and extra shots of espresso, which has hardly any calories at all.

I'm not sure which syrups they have SF, you'd have to ask them. But I know they have several.

I am patiently waiting for Starbucks to have their Eggnog Lattes, they are yum! Though I am sure very calorie laden as well.

For those interested, I have a Keurig coffee maker, and it is FABULOUS! I never drink more than one cup of coffee at a time so for me it's perfect to make a quick cup to take to work.

I've looked at the Keurigs, but they're so blasted expensive -- and then I can't brew for multiple people at a time and we entertain frequently.

*sigh*

And I'm at the fact that those are nonfat too (which I never order)! Stupid, incredibly awesome and creamy, yummy peppermint mochas!

It really doesn't help that I'm unemployed and trying to stay away from Starbucks since I refuse to mortgage my house for a latte, but dang it, I have a gift card burning a whole in my wallet as we speak! *sigh*

Although,

I have one too- and I love it! Do you have the extra cup you can buy so you can use your own coffee too? I have two cups usually and maybe make one to take to work- and I LOVE it too- the coffee is sooooooo good andhot!
If I have friends over, I use the trusty 12 cup coffee maker-
