Gosh -- what huge numbers!

Glad they're only "in season" for a short time as then I can only get one or two the whole stretch they're available.

And I'm glad I've got a good coffee maker at home -- much easier on my pocketbook and waistline.

Yep, I only try to get them once in a while and I ask for no extra syrup or whip cream. Even regular nonfat flavored lattes are high in calories/carbs--soy is worse than nonfat milk.

Those are actually lower than I thought (figuring a muffin is 500 calories at least...) which is why I guess I take mine black.

We use a French press at home...cheap, easy, deeeelicious!

I love Fall because the Pumpkin Spice Latte's are back! I only manage to get about 10 before they are gone so I don't feel guilty about ordering one - and I order the piggy size (venti) one. I did start to order it non-fat with no whip though.

But now that I think about it, I probably should cut back on them. Not because of the calories, but because 10 venti PS Latte's costs $55.50!

Ack! I don't get them very often, but I wonder what kind of whipped cream they are using 2T of whipped cream is about 15 calories and they have it listed as 80 or 100 calories a pop - that's nearly 11T (for the tall) or just more than 13T (grande & venti) of whipped cream, if they are using the ordinary canned stuff. I guess if I really need to save some calories, I'll order it without the whipped cream and add it on myself at home!

Guess I'm glad there are no North Country Starbucks - the peppermint mocha is yummo!!!

I wonder how bad the regular one is, I didn't know you could get them nonfat!

I've got to thank PassPorters for introducing me to the devil Starbucks. I'd never had one till the Pennsylvania PassPorter meet I attended several years ago - we flew to Philly and met up with Tara and Lynn - and stopped along the way to the meet. It was a wonderful experience - although you have to get the girly flavored drinks there.

Dunkin Donuts coffee is so good you can drink it black (no calories!!!) Starbucks black coffee is NASTY stuff!

I agree with you here!! I do love the flavored Latte's better at Starbucks, but for regular coffee it has to be Dunkin Donuts Starbucks reg. coffee is too strong and to me has a burnt wood taste to it

Since the holiday drinks at Starbucks are only available during the holidays, i view them as a treat, more so because they are so expensive, so towards mid December, i'll have one of each with the whipped cream since it is a treat and i am paying for it. But it would certainly be too expensive to have that every day, even during the holidays, but it is nice to treat ourselves during this time. I agree that Starbucks' regular coffee is way too strong. My oldest daughter buys their lattes all the time (but she's slim and i guess she probably can afford them if she buys them)

We don't have a Dunkin Donuts, but a Tim Horton's, which has good regular coffee (i drink it with milk, as i find that black coffee is hard on the stomach)

regular lattes arent bad-

Caffe Latte; nonfat: Tall (120 cal/0 g fat/0 g fiber/18 g carbs)
Caffe Latte; nonfat: Grande (160 cal/0 g fat/0 g fiber/24 g carbs)
Caffe Latte; nonfat: Venti (210 cal/0 g fat/0 g fiber/30 g carbs

and I beleive they use real whipped cream not the canned stuff- a tbs of heavy cream is about 50 some calories and prob 5 or 6 gms of fat so... that adds up
