Warm Spinach and Artichoke Dip in the crock pot. SO EASY, virtually NO prep work. Then i slice up vegetables (carrots, celery, etc) as well as tortilla chips or some sort of bread; then you have options between veggies and starch. Works like a charm! I can give you the recipe if you need it, let me know and i'll dig it out

[QUOTE=Carousel96;3831399]mini hotdogs in BBQ sauce
That's what I was thinking about. Meatballs are great in the crockpot also. Something that's great is veggie pizza or fruit pizza.
Veggie Pizza you take two rolls of crescent rolls or the seamless crescent rolls and back it until golden brown. Let cool. Then mix Hidden Valley Ranch mix with cream cheese and then spread it on the crescent roll. Add shredded cheese, baby carrots sliced, broccoli whatever you want. Then cut it into squares.
Fruit Pizza you can make with plain sugar cookies or roll out a sugar cookie roll. Mix cream cheese and about a cup of sugar. Then spread it on the sugar cookie. Add sliced strawberries, blueberries, sliced kiwi, anything you want then cut.

Carolyn: what do you do with the hotdogs? Do you wrap them? How do you serve them???
Michele: I have only had articokes once in my life and i think they were yummy. I can only get the canned ones here.
I am thinking of that shrimp cheese idea. I bought the canned shrimp yesterday.
I too am finding out that many things call for cream cheese (which I bought lots of) I am getting hungry thinking of all of this

Thanks again!!!

My new favorite app recipe~ mini meatballs in chili sauce & cranberry sauce. Supper easy , 1 jar chili sauce & 1 cancranberry sauce. Heat until combined & add over cooked meatballs. Sweet & a touch spicy. Turned out great w/turkey meatballs.

I just open a package of those little mini cocktail hotdogs, stir them up with some bottled BBQ sauce (use your favorite, DH likes anything made with honey). I usually heat them on the stove before putting them in my mini crock pot, but given enough time I suspect the crock pot would take care of it. One pack fits perfectly. Now I keep a package or two in the fridge in case we get invited to an impromptu party. It happens a lot in our neighborhood -- the girls are at one house playing, so they invite the parents to come watch the game.
