| Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 Good Morning! UGH!!!! I am so disgusted with myself!! I had intended on getting up at 6:30 this morning to work out on the treadmill. Had the alarm set and everything. Alarm goes off......I stay in bed!!! I was getting up like that for over a year and working out, then I slacked off and started sleeping in and now it's winter and cold, and I just want to stay in my nice warm bed as long as possible!! Bears have a good thing going!! OH well, tomorrow is another day and I WILL GET UP AND WORKOUT!!!! Hope the rest of you were stronger then me! Have a good one everybody!!! |

| Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 I'm no better off than you Cindy! I've been eating everything in sight for the last week or so. My midwife assures me that the voracious appetite is normal for nursing moms, but she also said I should have dropped those last few preggo pounds by now, so she gave me some nutrition and diet info for nursing moms and told me to suck it up and get back on the treadmill. So here I am! I'm using some of my old Weight Watchers points counting stuff, too. I made an awesome Banana Smoothie for breakfast today. In case anyone is interested... Beaner's Breakfast Banana Smoothie 1/2 C Skim Milk 1/2 C Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt 1 (6 oz.) Banana (frozen) Blend til smooth(ie). I have one of those boat-motor blenders. It works great for smoothies. Sometimes I like to replace the banana with canned pumpkin puree (frozen) and throw in some cinnamon. |

| Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 I am totally disgusted with myself! I ate way too much yesterday, and it showed today on the scale. I got up this morning and walked 50 minutes, I figured I needed the extra 5 today. I hope I never pig out like that again - it had been so long since I ate whatever I wanted and didn't count up what I was eating - big mistake! I hope you guys had a better weekend than I did! Will send some stronger workout pixie dust for you Cindy! |

| Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 Oh gosh guys.. after hearing how disapointed all of you were this week I almost ( note almost ) hate telling you all my news... Quote:
I wonder if it's the treadmill these past 2 days that have helped speed up my metabolism ??? I'm not real good on the ins & outs of exercise so I don't know.. I'm sure one of you guys will. Whatever way, i'm grateful for the loss & am still striving to my goal of 20 pound off before my WDW trip. I'm already 11 pounds there! Has anyone tried the new 'flavored' Egg beaters? I bought both the country Vegetable & Southwestern & they are both so yummy.. & I love having 1/4 C for breakfast... fills me up without the fat & choesterol of eggs. I'm going to make low fat BBQ chicken pizza tonight for dinner.. I'm using low fat tortillas & chicken I cooked up in my pressure cooker yesterday. My boys have 3 basketball games this week & I know I won't have time to cook properly so I pre-made some stuff yesterday.. Keep on going gals! You all have been a big motivation for me... especially with the treadmill & exercising. | |

| Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 I am new to Pixie Chicks but after reading some of the PC threads,I guess I'll join ya'll in your weight loss thingie. I,like a lot of other women,am struggling with weight issues. It mostly started when I was a kid and my PARENTS (of all people! )would tease me and call me "Shamu"(like the killer whale)and smack food out of my hands, saying I was too fat already.I have been battling my weight(which wasn't too terribly bad...when I started I was nearly 200 lbs)for the last year.Last year with a walking program and dilligent dieting,I managed to get down to 165(pre-holiday..I gained back 8 lbs between Sept and Jan).I have managed to lose my holiday weight and am hoping to eventually get down to around 130-140.I know it's hard and it's so easy to slip, esp when I'm with DH who can eat whatever he wants and not gain an ounce! It ain't FAIR,darn it. Oh well...got to keep trying to reach that goal. D.A. | Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 Cindy - Good Luck with the workout tomorrow! I'm not doing so well in the aerobic division myself - I do stand all day and walk around school - but nothing sustained! I'm also not doing so well in the eating department - I keep craving chocolate!! I did try those Skinny Cows - yummy, but they are too yummy - Amanda and Jennie polished off the box!! I've also bought a box of Dove bites - I don't know the points, but they are only 60 calories for one - they suggest five as a serving size, but one satisfies me, so I figure I've saved 240 calories!! Even with the chocolate cheats, I haven't gained any back - I'm still at 17 pounds lost since September - I had lost 21 as of December - but regained 4 over Christmas/WDW. Still got 15 to get to where I want to be - I'm trying to hop back on the wagon. Lots of yummy no point green beans with no points balsamic vinaigrette for me! Beaner - Good Luck losing those few pounds - I only gained 14-20 pounds with each pregnancy(and my girls weren't lightweights 9 lbs, 10 1/2 lbs and 7lb 11 oz!), lost them within 2 weeks of delivery - in fact with DD1 - I actually weighed less coming home from the hospital than when I got pregnant - unfortunately - nursing made me gain weight - not lose! I was ravenous, and when I stopped nursing - I was used to those sized portions. I weaned Sarah when she was 2 - by the time she turned 6 in September - I weighed 20 pounds more than when I delivered her!! Lost the 20 - now need to lose the 15 pounds! Ann - great work - keep it up! I'm sure the exercise does have an effect on your metabolism. Welcome D.A. - happy to have you jumping on the wagon - the pixie wagon! |

| Re: Pixie Chicks-2/10/03 Are we all struggling? I don't think I've ever gone this long with my cravings! They have been driving me nuts! I think I did alright points-wise yesterday, but my treadmill is getting dusty I'm way too much of a chicken to step on the scale. |
