| Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? I'm tired of eating pumpkin chili - it was good though. I've just been eating it all week because I made so much of it! I've got some chicken, some pork ribs, hot dogs, ravioli, pasta, tofu, fish sticks and fillets, venison, lots of stuff! I just can't decide as I'm not generally the cook in our house. I'm a terrible cook. The chili I made came out great because it was an easy recipe to follow and I know how to cut up a baking pumpkin without losing a finger.
So what's for dinner? |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? Leftovers are on the menu here tonight. Since we're leaving tomorrow we want to clean out the fridge - and what better way than to eat what's in it? |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? Don't know about tonight, but last night I tried something new: Philly Cheese Steak Pizza. I've seen them advertised at Domino's Pizza, so I thought I would try to make my own.
I used a pizza crust mix for the crust. I had some Steak-eze Breakaway Sirloin Beefsteaks that I bought at BJ's wholesale. They are frozen beefsteaks of thinly sliced beef. I heated the steak up in a frying pan with some cut up green peppers and onions. I put a very small amount of pizza sauce on the crust, added the steak/peppers/onions and some sliced mushrooms, and topped with mozzarella cheese.
It was pretty good if I do say so myself. Something different anyway! We do get in a rut of eating the same things over and over.
Talking about this food has made me hungry, and it's only 10:00! |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? I'm thinking about chicken fried steak, mashed potatos, gravy and a vegetable. Talk about messy...hummm....maybe not |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? I'm in the midst of getting ready for a yard sale on Saturday.
So, tonight will be Chinese take-out and tomorrow I'll pick up a pizza on the way home. |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? Chilli and cornbread. I'm going to do the cornbread in my mini stonewear baking dish. The cornbread is so yummy when done this way. |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? I'm in the same boat. DH started working nights this week and he was my chef! So far this week DD and I have eaten leftover meatloaf, chicken nuggets and tater tots, and last night we had McDonald's. I had planned to throw together a stew in the crock pot this morning but ran out of time. Tonight might end up being mac and cheese night. |

| <font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">This is currently DJ's favorite food. I'll probably make all his favorites - mackie cheese, greeny beanies, and mini fish ticks for him. His words - not mine. I'm not sure what DH and I will be having yet. |

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? Ceasar Salad with grilled shrimp! One of my favorites. I just buy the Ceasar Salad bag mix and grill a few shrimp. Very easy.

| Re: Looking for ideas - what\'s for dinner? Homemade chicken pot pie and a salad. It's an all-in-one meal, veggies inclusive. Easy and good too! Thinking about peach cobbler for dessert. |
