| Just made Le Cellier Cheddar Cheese soup It took about 1-1/2 from start to finish but it was well worth it. It tastes similar to the soup at Le Cellier but without the beer. DH came by and had a taste and was very impressed. I used specially aged cheddar that I picked up at Sams. The recipe (I used the one on AllEars) is easy to follow. Now I just need to learn how to make the pretzel bread (if I don't have a heart attack from all of the cholesterol I just consumed.) I think I'll make Tongo Toast for breakfast this Sun. |

| Re: Just made Le Cellier Cheddar Cheese soup Glad you liked it!!! I need to try and make it again. We have the Disney cookbooks and DH wanted to make the cheddar cheese soup on Christmas Day for his whole family (aunts, uncles, grandparents etc.) Well, he and his dad decided to do it instead of just letting me make it and they put in double (maybe triple) the amount of beer that the recipe called for . . . needless to say, the soup ended up being NASTY!!! No one wanted to eat it . . . but DH and FIL ate the heck out of it. They thought it was the greatest thing ever . . . especially after about 3 bowls! I would love to figure out the pretzel bread too . . . ![]() |
