| ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 In typical ER season finale fashion, last night did NOT disappoint! But, how am I supposed to wait 4 months until I know what happens??? I can't believe the shoot out was related to Steve (Sam's ex) and his other prision buddy. I really thought it was going to be about Jody's cop hubby coming after Clemente! That was a surprise for me. If something happens to Abby, the baby, or Jerry I will be really REALLY mad! (Side note: my brother was in his Los Angeles grocery store and met the guy who plays Jerry last week!) They better not even go there. At the end, when Luca was chained to the bed and Abby left the bloody handprint on the door, I had a flashback to the bloody footprint Keri found the episode Carter and Lucy were stabbed. Gallant's funeral was really sad. Here's DH's predictions: 1. Abby and the baby will be fine. 2. Morris will save Jerry's life, realise his importance in the ER and not go to the drug company. 3. Sam & Alex will be returned unharmed, but Steve will be killed. So...who else watched?? What did you think? Jennifer |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 Yes, it was a good cliff-hanger. I think Abby and the baby will be fine, but what about Luca? I think we will hear rumblings this summer about who is returning and who is not. I too think Morris will stay. I can't stand him, but he is turning out to be a good doctor. Poor Luca. That just made me cry. I am sick of all the drama related to Sam. Steve needs to die so that can all end for good. |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 I haven't been watching ER for a couple of seasons, so I've only kept up with what's going on via the commercials and the occasional post here. But I watched the second half of last night's show. Any one of the individual threads of last night's story would have been pretty good, but throwing them all together, so densely packed and so fast-moving, smacks of desperation on teh part of the producers. Ratings are failing, so they needed a big blow-out ending to boost ratings for the fall sweeps. For what it's worth, though, I think there's a 50-50 chance that Abbey will lose her baby (if the actor who plays Luca does indeed decide to leave, losing the baby will be a good excuse for him to pack up and run off); I think there's about a 50-50 chance that Steve will get killed, eitehr by cops or by his scumbag companions (though I truly hope that somebody puts that idiot out of Sam's misery permanently); I think Morris will most likely stay, especially if Luca leaves; and I wonder if Neela and Pratt will end up together once the pain of losing Michael has a chance to fade. Jennifer, next time your brother runs into the guy who plays Jerry, tell him to yell out, "Mr Kubiac, sir!" |

Since Luca's not paralyzed anymore, can he breathe even though there's a tube down his throat??? I just realised that! |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 I think last nights fast pace was more like how the show use to be. I still follow the show but some nights, I sit there waiting for something to happen. |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 He was breathing I think. You could hear it. I told Andy that defined the word "Sucks" last night when Luca had to watch ole Abby bite it and smack her bloody hand on the door... I'm really thinking she won't have that baby... just my thought. |

While I WANT her to have the baby, and hope it's OK, they have foreshadowed something this season that could make your prediction come true: When Keri was going to have her surgery, she asked Abby to be Henry's guardian. Think that will eventually come into play? Ugh...4 months...4 MONTHS! Jennifer |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 I know! How are we suppose to wait 4 months?? I hope Steve does die and get out of Sam's life. I hope Luca doesn't leave. I really like him. I hope Abbey doesn't lose the baby either. I really hope they can save Jerry. The show wouldn't be the same without him. Necie |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 I loved the show. I can not wait 4 months to find out either! I hope Abby and the baby will be fine. That would be another tradgedy for Luca to endure. I mean he already lost 2 kids and a wife in Croatia (sp?). How cruel could the writers really be? As for Sam and Alex, I hope Steve dies. He is not a good role model for himself, his son, or anyone for that matter. I think they will be caught. Maybe Carter will come back and save the day next season. Doubtful, but one can always hope for a miracle. PS- I am sure Jerry will be just fine. |

[/ QUOTE ] I remember that vividly. I remember Roy playing basketball with him in the hangar - "If I win, you're not gay. If you win, you can be gay." |

| Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 The ER season finale WAS awesome! I've been watching it all along, and it was how the show used to be, before they started venturing outside the hospital to Africa. I hope Abby and the baby make it, and that she and Luca get married. I want Jerry to be okay, too. I remember when he left for awhile and Randi and Frank were working the desk; it wasn't as good w/o Jerry. Remember when he got hit by lightening? I can't stand Morris, either, but they need at least one doctor around who's a complete jerk now that Romano is gone. As for Neela, I predict she'll end up with Ray, who I like but they don't show enough. I read somewhere that John Stamos will be back next season as the E.M.T. and Sally Field will return as Abby's mother. I hope Sam and Alex will be okay, too. Steve needs to go, but I hope neither Sam or Alex are involved in killing him or watching him die; they've had enough trauma. Now, what will we do for the next 4 months? Sigh. | Re: ER Cliffhanger 05/18/06 I can finally contribute, as this episode was shown over here this week - we were only a couple of weeks behind you guys in the end! Wow! To me, this is how ER used to be with lots of drama packed into one episode that you're not expected, although the shoot-out was a bit over the top. How on earth did Sam survive without being hit? My predictions are that Abby and the baby will be fine and that Jerry will live, although I suspect that he may not be 100%, I don't know what makes me think that though. I hope we can finally see the end of Steve and to be honest, I don't care if we don't see Sam and Alex again. I really don't find much sympathy with her character and I've not liked Alex ever since they changed the actor who plays him at the start of the series. You guys are definitely going to have to post here what does happen in the first episode of the next season, as you'll get it weeks before us! |
