One from your favorite author If you could recommend only one book from your favorite author, what would it be and why?

Re: One from your favorite author Seaswept-Nora Roberts- just incredible. You really could imagine it happening. It was my first book of hers and still my favorite Viscount Who Loved Me-Julia Quinn- I read this on accident. (I was bored and a friend was selling it at a garage sale). It is one of the best I have ever read of historical books. I fell in love with the whole family and can not wait to read more. Dear Emily-Fern Michaels- I have always been overweight and that book just sets an example of what you could do if you were overweight. The Cove-Catherine Coulter- old people murding. enough said. Sorry I have many favorite authors and reread all of their books. It is really hard to pick one. I have others but these are off the top of my head.

Re: One from your favorite author The Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett. Very powerful tale. Lightning - Dean Koontz - Koontz at his suspenseful best. I could not put this book down. Tourist Season - Carl Hiassan. One of Hiassan's wittiest. A fun read, as are most of his novels.

Re: One from your favorite author This is a tough one!!! My favorite books from Nicholas Sparks are True Believer and At First Sight. You have to read TB first, then AFS. The first one, TB, is a typical Nicholas Sparks love story but AFS threw me for a loop! I also loved The Guardian by him too. I read that one in a day, til about 4AM. I was prepared for a typical love story and that's not all you get in that book. Jennifer

Re: One from your favorite author Junkie by William S Burroughs This was the first book I read by Burroughs and it started me into a literary obsession with his work. It’s a very dark novel about the drug underworld; more than enough graphic imagery to keep me away from any illegal drugs. Burroughs words are very hard to follow but in the end they are truly rewarding. His books don’t just telling a story, it’s more like singing a song and getting the readers to join in...very poetic. Just listen to him read some passages, his voice is great.
