I watched it and thought it was really good, but I am having a hard time not seeing Brad Whitford's new charater Danny as just another version of Josh.

Though the whole test debacle is very un-Josh-like. LOVED the first episode! Matthew Perry's character was hysterical! Can't wait for next week. I have no idea when these shows are on now, though, because we Tivo everything! Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

It was a bit frustrating that the whole first episode seemed designed to just set the premise of the show in motion. But I'm very hopeful and will keep watching! Like Dina, I was pretty much on board as soon as I heard about it.

I think alot of people are having trouble here-- at least it seems this way according to all of the reviews I am reading. He actually filmed first few episodes of Studio60 and last few eps of West Wing at same time. Just not much time between Josh and Danny. We've had a few years to separate Matt Perry from Chandler. Timothy Busfield shaved his beard and looks totally different-- so I don't think Danny Concannon when I see him, but when I see Brad Whitford, I'm still expecting Donna to appear and start arguing with him. I think it will get easier after a few episodes-- Bradley Whitford is such an excellent actor. Joe (DH) says we need to see him in more casual clothes, he thinks that will help. NBC didn't want to sign him for this very reason.

Amanda Peet looks like she's about 17. To me she isn't too believable in her role.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. She just doesn't look mature enough to be in that role. I love Matthew Perry, though, and am glad he's breaking free of the "Chandler" typecasting.
