Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

So what'd you think? West Wing moved to a tv network environment?

Curious if anyone had already seen it by renting from Netflix when it became available about a month or so ago?

It started out alittle weird but I think I am going to get into it. I really like Mathew Perry's character he seems to have alot of heart.

Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I'm an Alan Sorkin fan! I loved West Wing and Sport Night. I like that his characters are so multi-dimensional and aren't just good or evil - and he writes great dialogue.

I enjoyed last night's show and thought that it has a lot of potential. Matthew Perry was great and I love Bradley Whitford. I drool every time he's on TV .

Hope it lives up to its potential!

I liked it so far. I really like Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet so I was looking forward to it!!

I TiVo'd CSI: Miami- was it really that bad? Should I not even bother watching it?

Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Amanda Peet looks like she's about 17. To me she isn't too believable in her role. I always like Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford though, so I want to keep watching. DH kept whining the whole time saying this show will last about as long as this episode! I guess he didn't like it. I'll give it a try, but it seems my favs always get cancelled!

Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

We enjoyed it. The pace is definately was a cross between Sports Night and West Wing, both of which we enjoyed watching. I think this will be a good show as it develops.

Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I LOVED it!!! Although my husband said I'm not giving an objective viewpoint since I apparently decided I would love it the minute I heard it was a Sorkin/Schlamme production, and then when Bradley Whitford was cast as Danny-- not much of a chance I wouldn't love it. The cast is phenomenal.

I did not rent it from Netflix-- was very tempted, but didn't want to spoil myself for the premiere.

Re: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Wonder how many episodes they got taped before Amanda Peet got pregnant? Wonder if they will just try to hide it.

I was reading an article over the weekend wondering the same thing. It mused about how many folders, bags, pieces of furniture they could use as camouflage properly balanced with only head-&-shoulder shots.
