Do any movies freak you out?

I can watch movies like The Departed all day long...however movies like Saw and Six Sense freak me out. I actually had nightmares after watching What Dreams May Come...and I didn't even watch the whole movie. I know it is all fake but...yikes..."I see dead people." :shutter: No thank you. Oh Pet Cemetery got me too.

Are there any movies that totally give you the hibbie jeepies??

Nightmare on Elm Street really freaks me out - the whole idea of dying in your sleep gets me b/c it is out of my control. Also, The Ring did get me too.

I think the original Grudge (American version) is terrifying...now the sequel...not so much.

The Ring really got me the first time I watched it but I still loved it I love to be scared out of my mind I cannot watch Pet Semetary - watching that adorable little boy run into the street with the truck coming and then get hit - I still can't think about it without shuddering and feeling sick. It is the only horror movie that I refused to watch to the end and will not EVER watch again.

I don't like scary movies. I freak myself out after watching them. Lately though, I have avoided all movies that have any kind of death in them. It is just too much to watch right now.

I don't like scary movies that don't have intelligence behind the story of the killers -- or where the poor saps keep walking into obvious traps.

But, movies that are smart and intriguing PLUS scary... whoo hoo! Love 'em!

"Santa Sangre" freaked me out for weeks! It's a foreign movie with an ending much like Psycho that I was NOT expecting---I still get chills!

Last week we watched "Downfall" about the last days of Hitler's inner circle, filmed mostly in his bunker. It wasn't the typical WW2 movie, they humanized Hitler a lot more and just knowing all of it was true and that all these people were committing suicide everywhere completely freaked me out!

I don't like scary movies, blood and gut type stuff, I just don't watch them. All of the (original) Omens completely creep me out. The movie The Others is pretty creepy, but good.

I don't like gory scary movies at all. The last movie that freaked me out was Fatal Attraction back when I was a newlywed. I took our knive set and hid it in the very back of a deep corner cabinet and never used a big knife again for 18 years. ( I had dreams about someone breaking into our apartment and chasing me with a knife!)

I never watch movies like Saw or those other scary ones. Nope, not my idea of fun!

I'm embarrassed to say that Hellraiser totally freaked me out. I was at the theater with my friends (I think I was a junior in high school) and the heroine starts reaching for the evil box. I sat up and screamed, "NO NOT THE BOX!" Needless to say, I turned a scary moment in the film into a laugh-fest. So from that point on, I skip all scary movies.

I like a movie that will give me an honest to goodness "Wow that was Scary" moment. but i find that most of them nowadays just try to be really bizarre or gross.

But the original Exorcist positively creeped me out!!! To this day, i can not even see an ad for that movie. It was the VOICE that got me. OOOOOH I get shivers now thinking about it.
Leaving this thread NOW for a change of subject.

Hostel. I've never seen it, but my kids have. It's about torture, and I don't consider the subject matter entertainment.

I like a good Alfred Hitchcock movie, or even a good scary movie like Halloween, or one that gives you a wink while it scares you, like Scream.
