| Love 'em! We had all the VHS when my kids were younger. Now I have "I'm just a bill, yes I'm only a bill, and I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill..." running through my head. I always felt so sorry for that poor bill when I was a kid! What a great way to trick your kids into learning something!

| I used to LOVE those as a kid and I am still known to start singing them when something reminds me. Especially the "I'm just a Bill".

| ....hooking up words and phrases and clauses.... My favorite is "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly get your adverbs here. Quickly, quickly, quickly get your adverbs here". A guy came into our office a few months ago talking about a legislative change that they are trying to make to the NYS retirement system. The guy was convinced that the change would happen, but one of the accountants, a 45 year old man, started singing "I'm just a bill, yes I'm only a bill...." I laughed for about 20 minutes.

| Does this answer your question? "I'm just a Bill, yes I'm only a Bill, and I'm sitting here on Capital Hill. Now it's a long, long journey so I'll sit here and wait."

| Wow - what a blast from my distant past! I loved those things on Saturday mornings! Especially Bill and Conjunction Junction! Such fun! I do need to get those CD's! Any idea where I might find them?

| I have the DVD with all of them and I show the Grammar Rock section to my class every year. I love'em!!!! My "mature" (ha,ha) 9th graders always complain when I pull out the DVD, but then they always end up singing along and want to watch the other ones. "He was a hairy bear, he was a scary bear . . ."

| Those were some of the best; whether kids admitted it or not, we all learned what those silly songs taught! I still hear them in my head sometimes when I'm driving, just out of nowhere... My cousin (he was a little kid at the time) was part of the voice over crew for those... I always felt I had a special connection to them because of that!

| Me too. Though my connection is a little different. Bob Dorough is from my hometown and he plays piano sometimes at the same club as DS's piano teacher (a good friend of DH's).

| I have the Schoolhouse Rocks, Language Arts and Math Class would never be the same in my classroom without them. I love them, but I am constantly amazed by the power of music. See, you all remember your conjunctions, don't you? |
