More deaths on LOST? Could be spoilers ...

How

many

more

funerals

do you

think will be on LOST for the remainder of the season - remember there's only 4 episodes left?

TV Guide today reports that there will be AT LEAST 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that's just for the remainder of this season!!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!

They didn't give any clues as to who will die, or in which episode(s), just that they will be in the month of May, so there won't be any in this week's episode.

In regard to the season finale, there will be a showdown between Jack and Locke, with an "extremely significant outcome for the future of the castaways." Hmmm.

And in the May 2 episode, the flashback will be about Locke, and in current time Locke leaves the Others and tries to persuade Sawyer to help him get rid of somebody who has made both their lives miserable. (Sounds like Jack to me.) Then they say that an island newcomer has shocking news. Would that be Naomi, or somebody else?

Thoughts, ideas, speculation?

I don't want them to kill off any major characters. They can kill all the Others that they want to, but please leave the Losties (and Desmond) alone. If they continue to kill off these characters, I just don't think the show will be the same. I know that it's gonna end sometime, but I would like to watch all of them make it to the very last episode. Get rid of the insignificant people, like they did with Nikki and Paolo.

I hope it's the more insignificant characters that get killed off. The more of the main characters they kill off, the more chance there is of people turning off, especially if their favourite dies.

I really think Charlie's going to get the ax. I just don't see how many more ways they can keep predicting his death, and then having Desmond save him. Although, it would be completely unlike Lost to ever do anything that made sense, so who knows?
I think it's ridiculous to keep killing off people on the show without actually extending the amount of time the survivors have been on the island. I mean, we're up to what, 2-3 months now (over 3 years...c'mon!). People don't die off that quickly.

Actually, after I posted my last, I just realized it reminded me of a section of Stephen King's The Stand. For those of you who don't know, in The Stand, a government-engineered "super-flu" kills off something like 99.8% of the population.
Interestingly enough, however, one chapter talks about how in the few weeks/month after most everyone has died, a lot of the survivors of the superflu die of completely unflu-related incidences. There are a lot of violent deaths, and a lot of people die who absolutely just can't take it anymore.

Since we know that the writers of the show are fans of SK (and SK - vice/versa)...I guess that could be an explanation for why they takes such glee in wielding a butcher knife!
