Thursday, May 3rd – Bon Jovi Week

Phil’s ship has sailed, with Chris stowed away!! Jennifer2003, ColexisMom (Marnie), magicmickey (Lisa), Angileyze1 and DisneyFranatic (Fran) were able to predict both departures. goofysdtr (Heidi) and kmurgburg (Karen) predicted Phil’s departure. DawnDenise, whoSEZ (Sandy), loobyoxlip (Tina), RobinKay6573, Momof4gr8boys (Cindy), eeyore8484 (Karen), Joanne929, Luv4My4 (Stacey), statelady01 (Maureen), DyanKJ130, WDWfan (Lesley), PamelaK, iamgrumpy (Amy) and KimM all predicted Chris’ departure.

Chris received the majority of our “to go” vote with 19!!. Lakisha received 15 and Phil received 7. Jordin, Blake and Melinda each received 1.

Our favorites are bouncing all over the place each week. Melinda is our group’s overall favorite with 9 votes (up from 8). Jordin received 7 votes (down from 11) and Blake remained unchanged, with 6 votes.

Phil really went out as a class act! That was great - I think he sounded even better last night!! Chris also went out classy. Chris and Blake were so cute talking about how they're best friends

I think they both had the nicest exits so far and I loved how Phil sang next to his Navy friends and kissed his wife- it was just lovely all around.

Blake has his work cut out for him but as far as I am concerned, he's the stand out for originality and the "whole" package. I hope he can at least make it to the finale.

It was sad though- I didn't really want anyone to go- and that's the first time I have ever said that about any group of American Idols.

On to next week- with on of the Bee Gee's - I cannot wait for that one!!!

They say that this group of Idols are the closest group ever and I think we saw that last night. Not realloy surprised at who left though. Can't wait to see what they sing next week!!

Okay...I did get alittle Misty when Phil was voted out. I tried Phil I TRIED but I can only hit send so many times. Phil's exit was just wonderful. Phil...for now!

I can't wait to see how the girls do with the Bee Gees. I think Blake will do okay but I just can't see Melinda singing a BeeGees song.

Well, I wasn't surprised who left, but I thought they both did a great job! Next week figuring out who is leaving is going to be really tough (unless someone really screws up)!

I was bummed out that Blake lost the one guy that he has said he really felt comfortable with. Seems like Chris and Blake are really similar, based on some article I read.

Anyways, so glad Phil is gone. It isn't that he is a bad singer (Sanjaya anyone?) but he really only was at his best with the country week. Chris isn't bad either, but he needs to find his own style and stop the Justin wannabe thing. That was the main reason I didn't like him. But I agree, their exits last night were the best so far. Very mature!

I really hope Melinda tanks next week. Not because I want to see someone really fail, but it would be humbling for her to find at least one type of music she can't sing! LOL. She really rocked her Bon Jovi song, I was stunned!

I'm pulling for Blake and LaKisha all the way. I'm the dialing fool that I swore I wouldn't be since the night Clay lost to Reuben. I still haven't gotten over that!

I knew Phil wouldn't win it, but I really liked him. This group does seem full of really nice people and I'm another who doesn't want to see any of them go. I thought Phil's exit song was so classy and Blake and Chris impressed me with their attitide as well. The tour after the show should be a lot of fun! So now it's Blake against the girls. I have no idea who will be voted off next week. It's getting hard.

I was bummed for Phil. Now it will be more difficult - the rest of them are good so now it's going to be tough to predict next week!

I was hoping Bon Jovi would sing a classic...or at least Have a Nice Day! That was a wee bit boring.

Both guys acted like gentlemen last night and I wasn't expecting anything less from either of them. Nice guys, good singers, but others are better.

Can't wait for Barry Gibb!!!
